I love this hat! But I am so pleased I watched the tutorial to the end before attempting to make it . Maybe a few discrepancies between what you are physically doing and the written words? So I have a few questions. It says 3.5mm hook, you show a 4.5mm? You show doing sc at the end of rows 2, 4 and 6 but it says back loop only in all sc? Should it be repeat rows 1-6 so the top is not so dense, or do you repeat rows 3-6 to keep the pattern constant? Thanks in advance for your help.

So for the slip stitches it starts off as 10-10-5-5-10-10 then it says to repeat so does it then go 10-10-5-5-10-10-10-10-5-5 and so on or 10-10-5-5-10-10-5-5ect

I keep having to re-do the first row because every I do it I somehow end up with one less stitch :( I've tried to go slow and count as I go but I keep missing one. Do you have any advice for me to prevent this? I'm skipping the first stitch when starting row one. Do I add a new stick somewhere to make up for that? Please let me know if you can. Thank you!
