Did this trail over Labor Day weekend in 2022 and the riverbed was open to get to Shrine Pass. Def should do it again, you’d enjoy that part. Lot more technical.

I just did the closed part from Shrine pass last week. The road was closed due to avalanche damage a few years ago. They rebuilt this part of the trail last year. It used to be a half mile ride up a creek bed but now it goes around the creek bed but crosses it several times. This is the part of the trail that gave it it's more difficult rating. I was following a stock gladiator and he scrapped the bottom a few times.
