Did you use an inkjet printer? If so, what settings did you use please? I have tried printing them using the glossy photo paper setting on high quality, but the result is not good enough at all. I used the shiny side of 2 sticker sheets but have not mastered it yet.

You rock! Where were you a year ago? I have been making par eyes using so many techniques I see on here. Mainly because being disabled, income isn't much and paying big bucks to print Iris parts is expensive when it comes to ink. So I've been trying so hard to just use water color pencils, chalk, nail polish, and the list goes on, and not really being happy with any of them and it turns into a fail. And Crafsman... He rocks also! Love love love watching him! Thank you to both of you for being a part of my resin experience and more! Great educators you both truly are! (PS, that was cute your son peeking in on you.. my twin boys are now 30.. I miss the younger years of my babies but they do have to grow up. Does he also join you in your crafting adventures like mine did)? Awani my friends!

Hello good sir, thanks for this great video. I found perfect wooden spheres at hobby lobby. 24 mm perfect spheres, one bag has the flat edge and the other bag is just regular spheres. No lines from the rubber balls to deal with. They are found in the isle where the wooden dowels are kept.

Hello from Canada. I just discovered your channel and am already a big fan And have watched about 10 videos in a row. Just wanted to give you a little tip. Eyes tend to be bumped out a little bit at the iris. After drilling the pupil and the enamel dries out a few drops of resin over the whole iris. It will give it that slightly bumped out realistic look that real eyes have.

For small molds, I’ve found paper towel or toilet paper rolls (once the useable parts are gone) make great molds! Good recycling use as well. Edit, after I finished watching the video. LOL EXCELLENT Tutorial! Favorite tip was the iris transfer technique. THANKS to you and Crafsman. I’m going to make keychain fobs with the eyes. 😷🖖

Very cool tutorial. That was a neat trick with the label paper backing for the eyes. I know it would be more expensive, but do you think warerslide decal paper would do the same thing? Just so I wouldn't have to worry about the ink smearing.Thankfully I have a cricut now, so I could use it to cut the eyes out, but it might smear the ink in the process.

Very informative and thorough. I’ve made a FEW eyeballs in my life and as expected, my early ones were not that convincing but I got better as I went along. For a while I was collecting the large balls from roll-on anti-perspirant and using those for the base of my eyeballs. Question: are you using an inkjet or laser printer for the irises? One thing I’ve always wondered about: the cornea of an eye bulges out slightly, and could you achieve that bulge simply by hanging the eyeballs upside-down and pouring the resin over them (or doing a full dip in the resin and then hanging the eyeballs upside-down to cure)? The natural tendency of the resin liquid will be to flow down the ball and form a drip at the bottom, creating the natural bulge of the cornea. I’m sure the consistency and cure time of the resin would affect how successful this technique would be. Nice job!

Enjoyed the video really good tutorial. I would have instead of putting eye back in a mould dripped it over the eye and let it run down towards the back and the stem behind eye should still get a nice even coat and maybe even a little thicker layer also easier cleanup in an area that most probably wont be seen for most projects
