I set it up the way you instructed and my game audio is still falling out of sync. I shoot in game and hear the shots later. How do you fix this delay?
thank you. thank you thank you thank you thank you. this is my first time doing this sort of setup, I couldn't for the life of me figure out why the desktop audio from my gaming PC wasn't being transferred to my laptop, and you SAVED ME!! THANK YOU!!
Writing this after the second time watching this video because I needed to XD TYSM!! worked like a charm. I just use ear buds to listen to everything so all I had to do was plug them it with an aux extender. I also use a really cheap USB + mixer mic set up, and I just plugged that into my streaming pc to make it easier. You ROCK!
brooooooooo i've been watching so many videos and forum posts and could not seem to get rid of the lag of sounds coming from the gaming pc into my headset. you had the easiest and simplest explanation and it actually worked! thank you so so much man! highly underrated video!
Danny Boy! I already dig your new platform! Love seeing a Tuber conscious enough to not tell me to sub and hit that like button! Even though I personally do not currently have a use for the info in the video, I may some day! Been thinking about getting into the Hobby of content creation myself! This may become very useful someday! Glad to be one of the 1st 100 sub's I hope to see this channel grow over time! Can't wait to see what else ya have in store!
I've been running more or less the same audio solution you are for about a year (minus the mixer) One thing I noticed a couple nights ago, when I downloaded the El Gato Wave Link software (I currently use a wave 3), it causes a massive delay in audio from the gaming PC. Uninstalling it fixed it. I'm not sure if its all audio adjuster type software, but it's something to be aware of. Great video BTW!
Thanks, I’m trying this out now. I cannot believe how easy it is to”to build” pc’s… but to correctly route, clean & config audio is a whole different animal.
wish I would have found this a year ago! lol working out having one streaming PC to capture several other sources (through an a/v receiver) and I THINK, this approach will work!
The problem I’m having is I can’t change the “speaker” to my headset it if I change it, it goes right back to “speakers (elgato sound capture)” and I can’t change default
one small situation I've run into with this method, is that the elgato hdmi playback isn't capable of stereo sound (or at least i haven't figured it out yet)... so if you are an FPS player, the audio getting played back into your own headset through OBS will not be stereo. Meaning audio queues in game are impossible to distinguish direction since its coming through as Mono
Very helpful dual pc audio video! What if I want to add a ps5 in the mix? Would a hdmi switch that connects the pc and console into the capture card be good? And should I worry that I’m using all hdmi instead of dvi cables
Awesome man you explained this well, I just upgraded to dual pc setup and had no clue how to do any of this but your guidance made it a breeze! Only question I have is that I play FPS games obviously and is there any issues with latency when it comes to sound? And if not what do ever why do people go with the goxlr route? And what would be the benefit to that ?
So sometimes the elgato audio will desync in obs! Just right click on its source and click properties, then click deactivate and wait about 3-4 seconds and then reactive and it will resync! I would love to do a dual pc set up with the go XLR but until I get my hands on one I don’t want to do it incorrectly but that is, so far, the ultimate and final dual pc set up but I NEED one to actually do the demo haha the benefit basically is that you would be able to plug your headphones into the gaming pc for instant source audio of the games rather than obs monitoring while still hearing notifications and other stuff from the streaming pc and it’s also your mic source with only one interface. Truly a professional piece of equipment but MAN is it pricey haha
Great vidoe and help. Working on trying to set up a dual PC setup with a Mac as the streaming computer having some issues with the audio though stll.. any vidoes that explain that would be great!
Hey bro question how do i get my game chat picked up in my stream so they can hear my friends as well . Right now i can hear myself on the stream jus not them
I've followed this guide to a T and it's great, but I only have one small issue. I'm getting audio pops coming from my gaming PC ever so often. Any known fixes? I've tried everything
One thing you didn’t touch up on is what do you set for discord or Xbox companion app on your gaming PC since your usual headset is plugged into the streaming PC? Like how do you communicate with people with set up??
Well that was easy, I had a right spaghetti junction of audio splitters and cable here there and everywhere and I was get static like crazy 👍 you've just sorted all this for me instantly thanks a lot pal I've have you a sub 👍👍😃😃
Hello. I did everything in the video and it works but sometimes the sound from the gaming PC is behind...for example in Warzone when I shot I hear the sound after the animation. Any idea how to fix it....after restart is ok but it getting back after 30-40 min of playing.
Hey for the last part of this video, where the game audio from the game PC is sent to the Stream PC, as u said on game PC u have to select the capture card audio or whatever source & the stream pc has to be turn on. But let’s say ur not streaming for that day & ur on ur game PC can’t u temporary switch audio out playback settings on the game PC back to default for the time and when u decide back to stream u switch the output back to method shown in here to send it back to the stream pc?
OK, as soon as I set my gaming PC to elgato, all of my sound went to my desktop speakers on streaming PC? My headphones have no sound, yet the headphones are set as default in streaming pc.
I'm not using a mixer and audio auto goes through my capture card when in video capture device settings audio output mode is on direct sound, All audio seems to be a millisecond or less off. anything to fix this? or would I need a mixer?
i cant get my audio to go to my capture card from my gaming pc bro i its not showing up in my sound settings as an output option its showing as rear panel optical jack instead of showing as hdmi output in properties
I watched so many videos regarding this issue and absolutely nothing will work for me, all i get is constant static on my stream pc and nothing on the game PC unless i switch the default playback to my speakers, then my gaming pc runs like normal but the only audio i ever get on my stream pc is static and i cant find a fix anyway, ive been trying for like 4 days
Hello! I followed this to the t and it solved many of my problems but the one issue that came up from this method is i cand hear audio from my faming pc but the levels are being picked up from my streaming pc.. so it is working.. but also not..
My audio is a bit delayed, is there anyone whos still looking back into this video that has a solution for that? I would prefer software but if its a hardware fix I wouldn’t mind hearing that too
Hey brother I know you have a lot of traffic but I’ve been trying to get my game audio to work on stream for hours. On the step where I add a video capture device (hd60s+) it doesn’t add anything to my audio mixer and when I go to advanced audio settings my capture card doesn’t pop up. So I hit a brick wall again so you have any advice?
so you don't get any audio delay when listaning to the gaming PC audio through the streaming PC? is there anything that can be done setting-wise (like in OBS) to help if there happens to be any lag in audio syncing up?
I’m running into the issue where my audio output isn’t getting any audio. When I test it, I can hear the test. But when I play music or launch a game. I can’t hear the audio but I can see the audio is being output by the audio levels from the capture card in OBS. Any work around this or has anyone else run into this?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I know its very old but i wanted to ask you. i hope i get an answer so i play pubg competitive. Do i get a delay since i routed the sound to my streaming pc ?
Hi I followed every step in this video, the only problem with this is that my sound from the gaming pc to "desktop audio" in obs is crackling, do you have a fix for this, i have watched "every" video about this, but not mutch out there for "dual setup" pls help :D
How do you fix the audio input delay? As I play the game I noticed gameplay sound is a few milliseconds behind the gameplay video. it gets me killed on COD. Any fixes for that? I'm using the elgato 4k60 pro and stream labs
Tips for slow audio de sync from the elgato? I have the exact same set up as you but over the course of a stream I have to deactivate and deactivate eglato source to re sync game audio
When i play a game the audio is delayed a fraction of a second, so im say shooting a rifle in COD and the bullet sound is arriving in my headphones a fraction of a second later... how can i fix this ??
So confusing, using analogue turtle beaches. Using the default headphone output gives me audio but that audio is not captured by the capture card. (The audio requires me to use the hdmi audio routed to the streaming pc via capture card) I feel like there is a delay. Is there a way to have the stream PC listen to the gaming pc audio so I can use my mic in game and have my audio come directly out of my pc? With a mic plugged into the stream pc as well? Confusing lol I started using voicemeeter but it seems odd af.
Hi, i have been trying to get it to work for over a week, no audio from the streaming pc. It basically would show the capture card but no audio comes from the pc
Is there a latency issue when listening to the game audio routed through OBS? seems like id hear the audio slightly after the fact it happened on the gaming pc.
It worked perfectly for me until today, but now i can hear my gaming PC without opening Streamlabs. i have no idea how is it possbile. If i open Streamlabs i hear everything twice with feels like a 0.01 sec delay. If i mute the elgato in Streamlabs it would be good, but till this happens to me, sometimes my headset makes a strange sound. like the cabel breaks a little bit and it makes that weird sound. Im sure this is because something changed in my coumputer. Any idea?
so i have a question i have a ducking on my game when i talk and i've followed what you did and after almost 4hours of setting this dual pc streaming up i got sound. now is the problem that i as i said have a ducking on my game and when i speak i hear the ducking in my own headset thus means i'm not going to be able to hear my game at all unless i turn off the ducking. Did i do something wrong or is this something that is not suppose to happen? Cuz i really need help i feel like i'm so close to the end but yet so far :(
