Dahm, Egyptian Arabic will be my 6th language to learn (Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish) and its so much different as the European languages. Totally different structure, gotta adapt my mind to learn this one, repetition is key to learning the new language for sure :)

THIS IS EXCELLENT. IT'S A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. THIS IS ONE OF BEST WAYS TO TEACH A LANGUAGE. NOT A SINGLE WORD OF ENGLISH IS USED. THE TRANSLATION BELOW IS ALL THAT'S NEEDED. I WISH OTHER RU-vid LANGUAGE COURSES WERE LIKE THIS. THOSE COURSES SPEND 90% OF THE TIME SPEAKING ENGLISH.

For nonspeak arabic .. Its better to learn standard Arabic first then Egyptian dialect .. this could make it easier to understand the way that Egyptian arabic was formed .. moreover it could make you understand others Arabic dialects .. but the most important is to learn the original standard Arabic from which various dialects emanated .. my wishes for you all 🙏

when doing a video, its good to let non arabic speaks know the female and male way to say things azzayAk to a male and azzayEk to a female and azzayOk for group, pls do both m and f translations of all words :)

FATIMAH1313 i agree but it would be difficult for them to make the difference at the beginning also if any Arab found a foreign lady speaks Arabic like a Guy, it wont be a weird thing......I've met many foreign girls talk in Arabic like a guy maybe they can learn that when they advance in Arabic and at least learn the Basics

This video is so helpful! I really want to learn Arabic, specifically the Egyptian dialect. Just a question to anyone who speaks Arabic, is the alphabet based more off sounds rather than letters? Because on Duolingo where I've been learning the alphabet, rather than translating the character to it's English equivalent, it translates to how it sounds e.g. aa or uu. Thanks

Thanks this is helping so much. But the arabic script is hard to read. I know the alphabet and how it's pronounced but this writing looks slightly different. Is this standard for Egypt? I really want to learn to read at the same time! (Thanks for the great series)

Arabic is written the same way regardless, it may look a little unfamiliar because it's typed on the computer and not handwritten (l think that you're more familiar with handwritten arabic). Also, it is not very common for colloquial arabic to be written, it's mostly spoken :D
