Always so impressive watching your work. The resources and techniques provided are always appreciated and so very inspiring! My world is better because of your art. Thank you, Barbara 😊
Dear Barbara I am worried about you. I think you are in serious danger: you are running the risk of replacing inking with waxing!!! Please seek help ..... .hahahahahah. I loved the video, as always.
So pretty ... the guilding wax reminds me of those lovely floral cups and saucers with gold edging ... heehee ... meanwhile I collect these cups and saucers ... hahaha
What a beautiful journal Barbara! You did an awesome job! I really enjoyed these last 2 videos. Of course you make great videos all the time. TFS Hugs 💕
Que hermosas cosas haces, me encantan tus videos y me has ayudado mucho para hacer y terminar mis junk journal, un saludo cariñoso desde Chile, veo todos tus videos, besos
barbara 💗 I laughed a lot with your video, I already want to buy that wax, which you should put even in food 🤪🙈🤣. I do not have the wax yet but I use the rustic ink of the stardust brand !! and it has that shine on the edges, it is actually the one I use, sun I don't get the vintage photo of distress! I love the ones you do congratulate you !! 😘😘😘😘
49dragonflies of course wax is better! But I was telling you why rustic ink is an option. It works quite well for me 😊 it leaves a brown and shiny tone 😄 I hope to see a next video soon 🤞🏻
Hello sweetie, you have done it again, made me laugh out loud! When you where talking about not having a plan before you start doing things. I can totally relate to that!! I never do too and it gets me into just the same amount of trouble along the way. But that is the fun in junkjournaling, it always gets better because of this 😉 Also when you got carried away with the guilding wax, it made me take my my guilding wax out also and smear it on everything I could find 😂😂 Try it on black diecuts and I promise you a lots of playtime and gorgeous outcomes! Have a lovely weekend dear friend 🤗🥰
Thank you sweetie! Yes, you are right, that planless approach can get you into trouble, but it also half the fun! 😃. Ooooh gilding was on black die cuts sounds amazing! Must try soon! Thanks for that sweetie! 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Barbara Awesome journal again, loving your channel, now to the wax lol I think we're all the same with the wax when we first get them, but some are very smelly, and not good for my Asthma but I found finnabair's wax and it smells wonderfully, also try putting blobs on and heat it with your heatgun and it should run for a whole new way of being addictive to it lol x
Barbara, another fabulous tutorial - I, again, crafted along with you and have almost completed my Easy Envelope Junk Journal - just have to put my journal pages together and sew them in! I love how it turned out!! Thank you so much for taking us along with you on this project! Have a wonderful weekend, stay safe ... and once again, thank you!!
The video for laminating napkins is on RU-vid channel positively paper craft...hugs I love you work...you are a wonderful artist! Recent new subscriber! TFS
Wow, it's beautiful! What a change from 3 plain envelopes to this gorgeous journal!!! No one would believe if they didn't watch you do it! I love your videos. And I love how you just do your thing, and let us hangout & watch you. Not everyone's videos are as fun to watch as yours!!! Really! Your process is the best part. I learn so much from how you think thru it. I tried the avocado dyeing. It was yucky brown. I was not impressed. But when it came out of the oven!!! Wow! Gorgeous pink. I couldn't believe it. I need to go buy (and then EAT) MORE avacadoes!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Austin, TX USA
@@49dragonflies Question: To finish off the avocado dying process in the oven, what temp should the oven be on, and how long should the papers be left in the warmed oven? please reply. Thank you very much!
Very pretty, Thanks for sharing how to make this! Now i am gonna watch that awesome napkin techniek. Have Some sunny “ pfinkster tagen.” Greetings from the Netherlands Maia
Thanks so much for this. I think I missed the size of your round hole punch. Can you advice brand and size of yours if you can. I am now making a set of these for Christmas presents. Thanks so much for the wonderful tutorial x. Trish
Oh it's so so pretty with all the roses and avocado papers... You kept making me laugh with the gilding wax.... Just put some on here, here and here!! 😂😂🌹❤️
@@49dragonflies it's catching I think I might have to get mine out again... But need to find something to put it on! Have a fab weekend my lovely xx🌹❤️😘
I absolutely love everything about this! The construction, papers and all the embellishments! Will definitely be trying to make something similar! Thank you ❤❤
Beautiful such pretty papers. I love the vintage shabby feel can't go wrong with flowers. Thankyou for sharing this envelope journal Barbara it's just stunning xxx
My dearest Midas... 😁 Lol Your envelope junk journal with all those amazing rose images, by the digital collage club, came out sooooo beautiful!!! I think that pink (and roses), vintage paper (or/and black & white) and metal shades are the most beatiful thing ever! Hugs 'n kisses, Liat
Beautiful!! I love your napkin sheets..they are so transparant, how you do this may I ask? I saw all the video’s from Wendy but mine don’t be really transparant, there is white, I don’t understand :( Did jou have a thin or thick layer modpodge?
Thank you Marleen! I did exactly what Wendy did in her video (maybe watcher part 2 of that series where she demonstrates it better). My layer was not thick at all. Don’t give up! 😃
Repurposing envelopes into a journal is resourceful. At 35.4 it appears that you glued the whole pocket back? Yet you were able to stick a card into it...is the top sewn?
I first only glued the 3 sides of the napkin onto the pink background, making that into a pocket. Then I glued the whole pink backing into my journal. I hope that makes sense 😊
I don't blame you for going wild with the wax lol. I just got some mother of pearl embellishment mousse from Nuvo and tried it on a piece of white paper. Omg it is fantastic! So subtle and just a touch of shiny but not overwhelmingly. Can't wait to start using on some of the pieces I've already made. I'm trying this to add to journal I'm making now and using for extra ephemera for person to use when making journal their own. I'll send you some photos!
I found this wax, too. I got gold but it was hard to choose which color. You’re right, it’s hard to stop! 😁 I love it on embellished paper and doilies, too.
Pink roses are my favorite and I just love this project! You are so clever in all you do. I have the wax too except in gold. I think I need the copper!
Hi Barbara! I love your Easy 3 Envelopes Journal with Avocado Dyed Paper DT Project!! It has turned out so lovely! The cover closure idea is so cool! The little min notebook is too cute on the inside, I like the die cut pocket you created, and the totally cool transparent napkin pocket is really beautiful! Such creative elements to add to your journal! The papers you selected are all really beautiful..that Collage Club digital kits club is fantastic... So many wonderful images to choose from! You did a great job on this project and the videos. Thank you for the link to the video for making the transparent napkin pocket, I plan to watch it next. TFS Happy Creating! Samantha
I love this video! I had to laugh at your struggle to not cover the whole journal in gilding wax! You were trying so hard to restrain yourself!!! I was thinking, OMG we are going to have to stage an intervention! ('Just put the wax down and step away!') It does look stunning, though! This journal is just beautiful, and the booklet/mini journal is adorable! So cute! Thanks yet again for sharing your talent and beautiful art XXX
Lovely altogether. The gilding wax elevated the beauty of the digital collage club images. Would love to see a journal with me in this little journal .i.e.if you plan on using it.
Love everything you did to this beautiful work of art you always amaze me I just got my gold wax last week and I been putting it on everything I may put it on my eyes and hair lol so I can match my journals lol thank you for sharing
@@49dragonflies I personally use something else and put it on a scrap paper then use my finger. Just so I'm not directly dipping into it. I agree, using your finger to apply is easier and gives a more natural look.
Sorry if i missed it in your video, but does the wax dry well? Also, if you touch it some time after drying does it become wet from your finger warmth or does it dry for good?
Oh Barbara just live this whole journal. Those papers are gorgeous with the roses. That wax stuff you used just gave the perfect touch to it all. So much room to journal out of three envelopes. So cool. That napkin is so cool too. I will check out that video. I always share my morning coffee with your videos. As always TFS. ❤️
Haha. You cant help but chuckle along when you loose control over building wax... so funny... Such a beautiful outcome. Thanks Barbara. Love a video where you learn and are entertained at the same time...🤣
