Hi Barbara. CRAFT sensations is the supplier of the Tacky Glue. They are a Netherlands based company and have a web site if you look it up on the internet. Loved this little journal. xoxo
Ok friend. Journal maker, calligrapher, design team member, multilingual entrepreneur, commenter and/or heart giver of EVERY RU-vid comment received, gesso lover extraordinaire, and general lifter upper of people ... Now a fabric dyer and stamp maker?!?! Is there anything you *CAN'T* do?? 😘😘
l0vE lOvE l♡vE these journals.... both the flip through and your paper bag one! Wow! Now I can't wait to get started on one of my own. Absolutely stunning! Looking forward to seeing the next videos. Thanks miss Barbara. You are helping to breathe inspiration in a "less than ideal" world right now. I am grateful. 😘🤗💓💕 Many blessings for protected health and wellbeing from North Carolina.
Just watched this again (I was crafting the 1st time and I'm horrendous at multitasking). I use FriXion erasable pens for things like your hand stitching. The lines come out with heat (an iron or heat gun). I don't use it for heirloom quality embroidery or quilting, but for a "junk" journal it's just fine. I think your fabric tab binding combined with some twigs as the spine would be absolutely perfect to bind this beauty!
Thank you Barbara for keep inspiraring thousands of lovely people out there and as always, I am so proud of having you as part of the Digital Collage Club DT:) xx
I always say, "If something goes wrong, it's just one more step in the process for making it beautiful." I don't really think there is any real wrong in art. :)
I love it! I can't wait to see how you bind it! I just saved kraft colored packing sheets yesterday, and will try to start on pages today! It didm however, make me cringe to watch you cut up handmade bobbin lace since I make it and know how much time it takes!
Thanks Alice! I’m happy this was inspiring! No clue about the binding yet 😬. So sorry about the lace!!! I get it! But a lot of these would actually just end up in the landfill....
@@49dragonflies yes yes i Yes I have at home, because I use a lot of kraft for stationery ... now I have a new use to give it, I don't see when to start, but first I will finish the book and I will label you in inst when I show it ❤️💗
WoW!!!! I think this is my most favorite video series, I love the use of fabrics and all the organic items you've chosen / used. Feathers, branches, bas, fabrics, fibers, etc. WOW ( I'm wanting to take the tree class too and maybe a few others) thank you for sharing. You're always so sweet, fun, smart, creative and very inspiring to watch. Thank you Barbara. ( I live in USA - Norther California area.) Hugs, Sandy
Hi sweetie, I've been watching breathlessly to this video 🥰 this project is so gorgeous. And of course also your book of trees 😉😁😘 i think I will even watch this one again just because it is so lovely. Thank you for taking us along on your journey
Barbara, I just want to say how much I adore you (not to be creepy!) Honestly, you are so very genuine, creative, and have such a peaceful approach...I look forward to all your videos and try to catch up on your older stuff. Not only that, you express when you aren't so comfortable when doing a project or feeling "not as equipped" and let your guard down, sending a message to newer junk journalers that they too can explore their creativity and not be afraid to mess up. Also, are you as neat and tidy as you appear to be on screen?! Because, how?? Just kidding. Please be encouraged today knowing that I (we, I will speak for others) are so very thankful for you and all you share!
Aaaaw, I’m very flattered by your kind words, Danelle!!! I think it’s so important to experiment to grow as an artist and I do hope it encourages others as well! About being neat, haha you should see my dining table aka craft desk right now 😂😂😂
I am soaking brown bags as I came across your video. Journal is coming out so very pretty with such pretty details. I really love how you are putting it all together. Would love to see how you will bind this. I recognize your artist teacher. She is with Jeanne Oliver I believe. She is very very good at making your imagination soar! TFS
Hello sweetie, what a gorgeous book of trees journal😍😍😍 and I adore where you are going with the paper bag journal. I have a mat deco glue similar to your bottle and I bought that in a store called Xenos, also a Dutch store. And Action has discontinued a lot of their craft products, so maybe it did come from there??? I hope that Action will restock after lockdown and get their craft section back to what it was. At the moment we are in full lockdown still, so no Action trips for me 😔😜
Fun idea to dye the linen, Barbara! For those of us in US, The "Celestial Seasonings" "Zinger" teas have a strong red color that would work well for dying...Hugs!
I really love how you experiment with different techniques. That's very inspiring to me this year. And I'm also trying to incorporate experimenting into my work. I was wondering if you and Maude were doing the Journal Prompts this year?
Thank you! It’s so fun to experiment and grow as an artist through it. I would guess Maid and I will be sharing some prompts, just not sure when yet ☺️
I have trouble with that chalk so bought dress makers chalk pencils which can be sharpened for precision. They also come in 3 colour packs so you can see on white! They're really handy for doing removable lines on paper!. Loving this journal 😍😍😍
It's soooo beautiful! I made a paperbag journal also.... During the Advent calendar from Kasia Avery last December. It was so much fun and it turns out beautiful.... Totally different then yours.
Hello Barbara, WOW, love what you did with the paper bag. Who knew!!!! Love this little journal and can't wait to see part 2. Your book you made from the tutorial you took is beautiful, so full of wonderful natural elements, WELL DONE, you should get an A+ for it. Please stay safe and well, you and your hubby, and, as always, Blessings and hug. Diana.
I love this journal! I think I might challenge myself to only use what I have in 2021. I have lots but sometimes get distracted by buying new. Off to pull some paper bags out of the recycling LOL.
Absolutely love this! These pages are so beautiful! That cover page with the peacock is just amazing! It is so lovely to follow you Barbara, to see how you constantly develop and share new things with us! ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the maroon leaf & bird pages as well as the cover! Interested to see how you bind this in the end. I like how you are keeping it simple & easy without focusing on "perfection" (whatever that is!) 💗🌷💗
I absolutely loved what you did with the paper bag so far especially the cover. I can’t wait to see how you bind it next. I love using nature as well in my journals, it keeps me grounded. I guess that’s the Native American in me.
WOW, Barbara, I love your creativity. I may be doing this type of journal in the near future. I can't get enough of all the texture that is going on and the binding technique is phenomenal!
Hallo Barbara. The deco glue is from action. I have this myself and love it. But unfortunately it is always sold out at my local action shops :( Maybe you have more luck.
Love it do not know if I Will do this, not a fan of sewing. In saying that I really enjoyed watching the process and looking forward to the next video.🥰😊
I have been wondering "what am I going to make next?". Just finished my December daily, now working on my altered book planner...so fun to be creative. Thanks for the inspiration!💕
I've been enjoying past videos of yours. I really like watching you collage. Can you hear me share my opinion on where to place something when you're deciding between here or there? You usually pick my choice!! :D
Oh I love this. You can never have to much fluffyness. I absolutely love fluffy feathers ever since I was a toddler. I always have one on me somewhere lol am 45 now haha somethings we never grow out off. ☺️
I love this book with all of its different textures and styles! I can't wait to put some fabric between the pages of a journal like this and do some primitive stitching! I've always loved stitchery but haven't done any in years. Time to put that skill back to use in a journal! I'll have to get to part two tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it!
FUN, reminds me of my college days in art school. I think I need to go back to my mixed media and fine art, those are my true passions. TFS. Ck out RU-vid "Jibid Neary", I think you'll love her work. Glad you found a method you liked for your embrodery floss.
ok.......my fav 49D video thus far! So lovely!!!! My first thought was tab/linen binding. I've torn my paper bag bound pages out so many times 😂 I'm too rough I suppose hah. Can't wait to see what you choose as a binding. Luv ya!!!!! Csodálatos!!!!!!! xoxo
