Best invention for Pole fishing is the hollow elastic used in conjunction with a puller bung. Gone are my 18 and 20 elastics, 8 /10 , 12/14 heaviest i use nowadays for all Carp on the Pole.never bumped a small fish or lost or lost a biggun, 16lb/18lb plus.Easy Peasy fishing.
19thewanderer . I must admit I still use different elastics for different fishing. For 99% of my commercial fishing I use white/black/red hydro and green/yellow/pink Drennan Bungee. For my lighter fishing I like solid elastic, usually 5 and 8 Preston with a Puller kit and 2.3 mm and 2 mm solid where I need reduced stretch ie near snags. But everyone to their own choice.
