If you can knit a square, you can make this cute, plush octopus! Ideal for beginner knitters.
Techniques you'll need to know:
Cast on, knit stitch, and cast off.
Yarn: #4 worsted weight yarn
Needles: Size US 9 single-point knitting needles

Wow, blast from the past. My mum went through a phase when i was little making these and dinosaurs for people. She even made one in the colors of favorite rugby league team xD
