the fact that shooting a pupet with a bow 2times in the leg and 1in the head earns you more exp than killing it with one headshot makes me curiouse if a body and a headshot at the long distance will also gain you more in this case

The fame is linked to the headshot, I believe the harder it is to hit that shot the more FP you will gain, a bow from 150m is harder to hit than a scopes rifle so would in turn give more FP 🙂

This video is nearly a year old, I don’t think puppets are going to be people’s main concern soon 🤣 it would be nice to see the spawning distances sorted out though.

ok,... so how much fp would you get from headshots using a bow/compound bow at distance....?

As Raykit has shown, 10FP. As I said I've not got around to testing all weapons yet, I noticed this whilst making a guide and found this one a fun way of doing it 🙂

My puppets always disappear once > 150m out ? how are they appearing for you beyond that ? Is there a new setting that covers this ?

I spawned these in and then ran back down to the end of the firing range, on default settings, may be that you’re on a MP/private server. It’s just for reference, you can use this out and about it at your base etc.

Yeah on a SP you can spawn to your liking, it’s just a reference test to show you how to gain FP I’m not saying you’ll get 100’s of puppets in one area like you see at the shooting range 🙂

might take longer but I would prefer to not have to use a bow to get a headshot

Yeah I understand the bow isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, at least it’s not the only way to do it 🙂

I can't imagine trying to hit a headshot with a bow at 300m consistanly😅 I would rather ensure my survival than get FP

I believe the bow is 150m it may work for rifles/snipers at 200m just go have some fun and test it out. As I said I’m sure there are other weapons that’ll give some decent FP 🙂

All fine, but this doesn't work on MP servers cause puppets despawn at ranges over 150m, and I've played on many servers. As this seems to be the case, the Only reason to have snipers skill is to kill other players that actually DO spawn in over 150m, but then we get little to no fame. It's almost like the system of fame is broken, and if spawning in distance has these limitations, is sniping an actual thing now, other than PVP? Also, while I'm here and having a rant, I wish the devs would reverse their decision on hunting. With NO animals in the world roaming around to hunt any more, we now have to go through a stupid mini game. Another reason sniping is a big no again - and also, without animals wandering around, the world seems dead now, and kinda boring. I used to love hunting, it was fun, but now it's a chore, and an unnecessary one at that when you can just buy food anyways.

Yeah more of a showcase of ways to do it, I’m hoping with this experimental texturing they have going on it may open up avenues to extend this for the puppets, they are different things of course but who knows. I personally don’t have an issue with the hunting, I find it’s a lot harder in a PvP environment as you’re trying to focus on the floor not your surroundings, I don’t mind the old way either but again I see and understand why they changed it. Again maybe they will look into it at a future date to change some things for the hunting.
