Thank you so much Luc, I'm so grateful! I'm learning so much from you 👑, very appreciated! Even if I don't have local a business but a webshop. I'm watching all of your videos, tracking them one by one! 🌷
I just wanna say that you are truthfully changing everything that’s been wrong with my business. Like I seriously cannot thank you enough I’ll be watching every single video you have tonight! Much love my guy!
Why I see in some of Google My Business listing (Owner of this company?) and not (Manage this entry) For the companies that have already confirmed their GMB? Can you explain? Thanks
Wow, so much info and tech specifics in just 15 min. I think it will take me days to go rewind, rewatch and implement. Great video! But where do I put the keywords? I just think that is a bit mean of Google to rank you based on your business name since they make it practically illegal to use keywords in there. I have two choices, violate GMB rules or violate my branding. My advice to new potential business owners and GMB users is; Watch this video first then choose your branding and name. Thanks Luc!
Many thanks Vandaag. Yes, this is also what I always recommend to newbies, make sure you choose your business name carefully. You don't need to violate GMB rule, just to report businesses who do
We like this video but we some questions. 1) this video is for services right 2) but how about products 3) but how about foundation 4) how about personal branding For Google SEO or local SEO how we can use it?
No, this video is for anyone running a business, whether it's a service area type or a brick and mortar one. You can see in the video there is an example for an ear clinic. Not sure what you mean by products, foundation or branding
Damn good video. I feel like keywords are going to play more important role in GMB in the future as more gmb's are created. I do have a theory that keywords in GMB update post also help, have to post at least every 7 days for it to work though.
@@rankingacademy Hey Luc, I ve just dropped an email to you through your contact form. There were 2 forms, not sure which one to use for my purpose, so used both. Apologies for the spam.
Thank you for this awesome video. It looks like phy proximity of GMB address to place of search is a major ranking factor for store front businesses, do you have any info on how this impacts ranking factor for service area businesses? Does google look at your phy address where you originally setup the service area biz to recieve a postcard or google just look at your service areas?
Hi Mike. Yes Google definitely looks at your address even if you are a service area type of business. Your location will play a massive part in the rankings of our listing.
Great video as always - would love if you could do something around hospitality - lots of uncertainty around the pink bed symbol with Google starting to promote their own hotels platform.
Hi Christian, unfortunately you can't. Google's guidleines are very specific: Do not provide phone numbers or URLs that redirect or 'refer' users to landing pages or phone numbers other than those of the actual business, including pages created on social media sites. Consider using the free Google Website instead
Thanks for a great vid Luc 👌🏼😁 Hey, do you have any insight of how good it is to use a FB page as the website link? Any risk of ranking lower (like how youtube links on fb gets less attention)? Thanks, Oskar
Thanks Oscar. Using a Facebook page is not a good idea. If you don't have a website at the very least use the free website option from Google. THAT will help your rankings
Great stuff as always Luc. Occasionally Google seems to reject legitimate reviews. What causes that and is there anything you can do to get them accepted?
Hi Doug. I know. Google has a set of filters in place which filter out reviews for using questionable words or for using too many special characters. Any review including special character, email addresses, URL, dollars or pound sign will not make the cut. In some cases, it's hard to tell why they get filtered out.
