How to easily install Rain X Latitude Wiper Blades on any vehicle with large J-Hook arms! Enjoy!
On today's car care maintenance video, we install new Rain X Latitude Wiper Blades on my wife's 2014 Nissan Versa. She has been complaining that she can't see in the rain and cleaning the windshield with wax products were not doing the trick. It's time to upgrade her wiper blades for good so she will no longer have these issues!

Make sure to remove the covers on the blades before use! Can't tell you how many people do this and are mad that the blades do not work well.

Love your video! I was looking at the paper for it and thought I had to change the one fixture. So I have the wrong fixture on my one wiper now. How can I get it off without damaging the wiper?

Thank you! It really depends on which configuration you used to install. For the large J hooks, you will need to flip the door open and slide out. For small J hook, move the wiper blade away from the resting position to find that "button/tab" where it connects. Press the "button/tab" and pull down to release it from the hook wiper. Hope this helps.

My wife's car in the video, still going strong to this day and she hasn't complained about not being able to see when it rains yet either. I put them on my lifted truck before we did this video for a few months and it is also holding up. No tips or tears on then rubber yet either.

Thank you for the video. I purchased a pair of Rain X wiper blades and couldn't install it and was about to return it. Once I watched your video, I realized I had to get it all the way in until I hear a click sound. I'm now a happy camper all coz of you!

Thanks I spent forever trying to snap the locking tab down. The rain-x instructions don’t say to slide the assembly until it clicks first. It’s easy after your demo!

Omg. Thanks so much. Came back just to say thank you. I was out there in the rain for almost an hour trying to put this on (and figure out if I need to take out some parts ) cause it’s gonna snow all day n night tomorrow and I rather be in the rain under umbrella than being on feet of snow trying to put on. Rain x vid doesn’t show to put it up to snap before pushing down the thingy. Hurt my thumbs for awhile. After I snap the blade with j hook, it’s really easy to put the cap down. I was back out there and get the whole thing done within 2 mins! Cheers to your vid!

I actually put the silicone version on my truck and I prefer my wife's latitude wiper blades

Two comments: 1) It seemed like both styles were J hooks so I didn't understand why the installation was different. I'm going to call them J-1 & J-2. 2) On J-2 you were the only video showing you had to push the blade with some force to get the J hook to snap into place. I was having trouble with the installation until I found that on your video. So, thanks! I'll have to say the drivers blade on my car is long and I had to push on the blade at arm's length. At first I didn't think I was going to be able to do it but all is well.

Thank you for your comment! 1) they were, but because they were different sizes, they may have had a different kind of connector piece on the rain-x blades. Not sure if there is some kind of science behind the designs depending on the length so the longer one doesn't go off center with swiping? Just my guess as it is the only thing I can think of at this time. 2) awesome! Happy to help! Hope you enjoy them as much as we do. They have been awesome since making this video. Also, if you want to go the extra mile, feel free to pickup some ceramic wax spray and coat the windshield with it. You won't use the wipers much at all! Hope you have a good one and thanks for checking out the video! 🤘🏻

Great video, I literally just got back home from pep boys bought the rain.x latitude ... I was going for the regular rain.x but the gentleman who was helping me told me they have a better one but more expensive and that’s how I ended up with these. I had a question, which is confusing me, it seems like there is a picture of a plug on the back of the packaging? To be more clear looks like a headphone jack plug we used to use on the older iPhone earbuds FOR EXAMPLE..... does that plug needs to be pre installed because on the manual has a picture that the plug goes in on the side of the blade. I changed it in front of pep boys took me 5 min but I didn’t see any plugs. I wonder if the plug has anything to do with water repellent maybe? Am not sure reason for my question. Seems like you have a better knowledge when it comes to these blades. Btw I installed it on my wife’s car which is a 2014 Honda Accord EX 4 door. Thank you so much and we hope you enjoy them like we do! We installed them on the car in the video and my lifted truck too. That sounds like you are referring to the "pin arms." Unless your vehicle uses them, you will not need to look at that part of the instructions. Since there are about 8 different kinds of wiper arms that these fit, they made sure to include instructions for them all to make it easier in case you ran into a situation like us with 2 different kinds of arms. It will not affect the repelling of the water for having a different wiper arm. I have noticed that running it on high for about 5 mins dry before water hitting it seems to help on the car. We skipped that step on the truck and the car looks much better when driving through the rain. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions! Have a great day!

Lots of people would rather not deal with them and would rather do it themselves. I know I wouldn't trust someone who asks what motor is in my car when looking for wiper blades personally, but that's just me.

@thesinistercamaro That's because there are submodels of cars. Meaning one model with a different engine might take a different size wiper. Not a big deal answering their questions for free service. Some people here said struggled for 1 hour in the rain. Is that smart??

Bro, this is to complicated. I thought it be easy as 1,2,3. But it can be extremely complicated. Which is messed up. Cause i bought all my wipers and then when i look at the current wipers i have, i cant even figure out how to get rhe old one off. So if a person cant even take the old wipers off , everything is destroyed then. So, a simple thing , turns into you have to be a rocket scientist to figure out. FML. Like you should of seen me. Did all the prep work, then when it came to me removing the old wipers. Bam , a no go. Cant even figure it out. My old rainx wipers have a huge square box that looks like a tank. And like a tank, theres no way to get inside to remove them. F this ✌️

Confusing grammar, but I think I get the basic concept. My wife doesn't do these things, so I showed that even she can do it and it's easy. Black shirt issue was addressed in other comments and corrected in other videos already. Other folks have made it work with this video so maybe a video setting issue on your viewing device that can be altered. Otherwise, nothing else we can do with this video. Thanks for stopping by
