What's cool about this is that you technically only need very few sticker paper back sheet since you can easily wash the remaining ink after applying the design

I think this is the first time I've seen a method that genuinely seems like it's going to make sense and actually work consistently. I've been frustrated with glue transfers and near everything else just not working.

Wow, I was just about to buy a laser printer and was a bit confused when you said this method only works for ink jet. Ink jet = wet ink! Genius :)

Vinyl transfer paper found at the dollar store has the same backing. You can get an entire roll for around five bucks if you have trouble finding it. :) 🍚 🥕 ☮️ ❤️

Wow! I’ve read books (well, at least 1 book and sections of others and lots of online content…so much I almost didn’t click on this!) on Image Transfers and I’ve never come across or thought of this method before! While it’s a great idea for linoblocks, I can’t wait to test it on other things! I see that even on a really smooth, non-porous surface it’s not a perfect transfer, but that’s part of Image Transfers as part of Mixed Media art. If one wants “perfect” reproduction, one can use collage or other replication methods. Have you tried printing onto to other surfaces?)? I wonder what would happen with color inks? I’m going to have to find a good source for buying just backing paper, as I collect stickers and washi and PET tape (the latter comes with great, crystal clear backing paper) and am always using my leftovers for that!🤦🏻‍♀️. Another source of backing paper is from some pharmacies like CVS who give you the whole sheet the had the sticker they put on the bottle (although I stopped using them for Rx years ago).This is the 2nd video of yours I’ve watched and I liked and I just subscribed! 🥰

Instead of using sticker label backing sheets, could you possibly just trim a sheet of parchment paper to size and print on that to the same effect? Thank you for the tutorial, easily one of the more straightforward ones ive found.

Have you ever tried freezer paper for printing your design? I’m thinking that the plastic side might work as the shiny side of the label paper works. But maybe freezer paper is too shiny.

hi, thank you so much for this tutorial!! i tried this on essdee softcut and it worked for the most part, but the ink smudges when i touch it, even after letting it dry overnight. i didn't stain it beforehand- do you think staining would help the ink adhere to the surface better? i will try staining next time and see

no it doesn't work with laserprinter the same way. for this you need a fluid to bind the toner. it isn't wet as an inkjet ink. there are a few different options of fluid. search yt for "transfer laserprint to lino".
