Best Scrap Busting Knitting Project for Beginners. It's time for Ice Cream and cold drinks. Bust the Scrap Basket! This is the easiest and cutest summer knitting project to keep your hands cozy and not melt your ice cream.
This quick and easy-knitted cozy works for all kinds of containers: cups, glasses, mason jars, water bottles, cans of soda or beer, and even glass bottles! What will you put into a cozy??
This project was made on a 22-needle circular knitting machine but you can do this on a round knitting loom or even knitting needles.
I hope you will give it a try. I think this would be a fun project for production knitting and selling! There are so many ways to make money with cute cozies!

Materials:
1 Cozy is approx. 10 gms Any Washable Yarn #3 DK or #4 Worsted
I used #3 Lion Brand Ice Cream & #4 Heart Super Saver 100% acrylic,
2 yards of waste yarn contrasting color
Tools:
22-needle circular knitting machine
Darning Needle / Yarn Needle
5.5 crochet hook
Scissors
Pattern
1. Cast on (basic back and forth cast on)
2. Knit 40 rounds/rows - leave 3-4 foot long tail of main yarn
3. Cast off with Waste Yarn
4. Bind the cast-off edge with a slip stitch/single chain all the way around
5. Remove Waste Yarn
6. Drawstring closed the bottom and fasten off
7. Enjoy!
