HI-KEY. It's his best album without a DOUBT. If not for the legal issues it's likely he'd have stayed in NYC and created a slew of classic albums with Preemo, Pete Rock, Tip etc. He always sounded to me like an East Coast guy rapping on West Coast beats, so the NYC sound was a natural fit for him. I will always consider him an East Coast MC....
I sat in a studio session in the Bronx along with Easy Mo, Percee P, Royal Flush and a few others and chopped it up on the couch with Easy Mo Bee most of the night as if we were the only cats there. I've known him for a while and he is one of the most polite, talented and kind gentlemen I know. He has always encouraged me to keep rhyming as well, respect the architect ✊🏽
"If I die tonight" is one of my favourite pac songs man the poetry and the intro a coward dies a thousand deaths a soldier dies but once soon as I heard that it resonated even got that tatted
Over the years I’ve gained more understanding for Me Against the World. I always liked the album but it had a dark depressing vibe to it. Pac was simply painting a picture of his life at that time. Love Temptations probably one of the best beats ever produced. Much respect to Easy Mo Bee
On the song Temptations 2pac say “Hey Mo Bee man stop playing and drop that shit” I was 10 when I first Me against the World just yesterday I was jammin Temptations one of my favorite songs on the album. Y’all remember that video?

It’s kinda crazy how somebody can basically have a whole RU-vid career mainly related to or about someone like Tupac who passed away years ago at this point. This isn’t the only one either! That just says so much to me about the influence Pac had before death and even after. I’m not saying that’s all this channel is about, but you know. I hope his legacy continues to be shared long after the people who are around his age are long gone. I’m 43 and I’m 15 years older than my sister but I introduced her to his music as a fan. She very much knows about the influence he had on people growing up during that time but she is also able to see what he left behind.
As an engineer, I felt chills when he said "Im glad I wasn't there". I think every audio engineer that services our black community in Hip-Hop, we fear the ultimate issue: Handling problems that come with artists from the streets. And I would be glad, i wasn't there for the Pac shooting too!
On the "me against the world" album, there's a song called "death around the corner", on the last verse of that song, you can hear the anger, hostility and frustration in 2Pacs voice as he spits the last verse. It's spine tingling.

Give Easy Moe Bee his damn props as a man! He could have went off on 2Pac, but he didn't damn what a solid brother. Moe said, "He understood what that brother was dealing with." For him to say that I was very impressed by his choice of words. Mo Bee is one of the best who ever did it in the game. Give him his just do for not attacking that man and getting into a negative mindset by taking it personal when that man did not speak. Bless you Mo Bee. I’m not sure if I missed it, but I would have loved to have heard him talk about his experience working with Miles too. He was the only hip-hop producer ever to do so.

Mo Bee is a legend and stand up dude. It’s a shame Pac felt a way with him after getting stuck up in Quad. Mo Bee seem like a good dude. His production style was tailor made for Pac. His songs with Pac are amongst my favourites. Really under appreciated producer. “Shout out Mo Bee mayne” (Pac voice)
Wow legendary status. I rated him for producing B.I.G's "I love the dough" The energy on that song is off the charts, especially when slightly pitched up. Had no idea he had production credits on 2Pac's Me Against The World!! 🤯
The og out on bail and og Ron G freestyle to me where the 2 most emotion packed honest raps ive ever heard. Like Mo Bee said, go look at where his life was when he created those songs.. he told it all and he made u feel his emotion. Greatest
I respect that, but beg to differ. That Makaveli LP. was a Masterpiece and the “ MAGNUM OPUS “ of his musical career. It essentially became the Epitaph of Pac’s life and it wasn’t even finished yet………..

you can tell mo legitimately misses 2pac. it's refreshing to hear a new yorker speak highly of pac, while still being honest about all of the awful things that happened to him. i wish they had the opportunity to be homies again. love to mo bee 🙏🏾
I don't care what anybody says, 2Pac's 1993-95 era of his run with Interscope give his Death Row era (1995-96) a run for it's money. He let so much out in the studio. Once it all came back together for him (shortly after he got out of prison), he just took it to another level. So many good songs and recordings came from what would become the Thug Life Volume 1 and Me Against The World sessions. He was able to use some of those recordings as blueprints/references for re-recordings later on for his Death Row era sessions.
I’d say it was much better. Even though he was going through things he put it in his music. True he had big hits with Death Row, I think he was distracted by all the people he was around and the East West stuff.
I feel Pac's production got stronger with DR messing with Dre and Daz and still rocking with Johnny J. That being said I felt Pac more during the Thug Life era (93-95)...
I kind feel like if they spent more time around ppl like Mo Bee, things would have probably went a different direction. In a way Mo Bee was like a musical bridge that connected Big and Pac.

Me Against The World is Tupac most personal album about what he was going thru at that time. It was death. He had a fear of it coming his way,the album shows that.
'Me Against The World' is a classic and timeless masterpiece. We can never imagine how a young man in his early 20's was feeling but "If I Die 2nite" "Me Against The World" "So Many Tears" "Dear Mama" are just some of the pain, truths and focus of a young black male in 90's America. His evolution as a rapper can be seen through 'All Eyes On Me' and the 'Makaveli Don Killuminati'. Listen carefully to 'Blasphemy' 'Staring Through My Rearview' 'Bomb First' 'Hold Ya Head'. "Help me raise my black nation reparations are due, it's true". ~ Tupac Shakur. The above lyric was Pac's mindset in late 1996 but history shows AmeriKKKa will never let the 'black race' unite and will do anything to oppress and even kill anyone who dares to step up.
Me Against the World has to be Pac most personal album due to everything he was going through at the time from Quad Studios robbery to the rape case which he was innocent of and fighting for his freedom and he still managed to get to the studio to release all of his frustrations which separates him from all the other artists.
