Easy Mongolian Beef Recipe | Saucy & Flavorful Chinese American Dish!

Hello and welcome back to Bear's Recipes! Today, we're whipping up a classic Chinese American-style dish that's sure to satisfy your taste buds: Mongolian Beef!Saucy, flavorful, and everything you could want in a meal, let's not wait any longer-let's start cooking!
🥩 Ingredients:
1 pound top sirloin or flank steak, sliced
Marinade:
1 tbsp Xiaoshing wine
1 tbsp grapeseed or neutral oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
Sauce:
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups beef stock
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp tahini
Vegetables:
Broccoli
kale (optional)
spring onions
Flavorings:
1 knob minced ginger
10 minced cloves garlic
1-2 tbsp soybean paste
1-2 tbsp Gochugaru pepper (remove if you don't want it spicy) Cornstarch slurry (2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with cold water)
🍽️ Directions:
1. Begin by slicing the top sirloin or flank steak into pieces.
2. In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients: Xiaoshing wine, oil, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Mix well, then marinate the sliced meat in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
3. Prepare the sauce by mixing brown sugar, beef stock, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and tahini in another bowl. Set aside.
4. Prep the vegetables by chopping broccoli, kale (if using), spring onions, ginger, and garlic.
5. Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
6. Coat the marinated meat with cornstarch and rub it in.
7. Add the meat to the heated oil and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Remove and set aside.
8. Add more oil to the pan, then stir in soybean paste, Gochugaru pepper (if using), minced ginger, and garlic. Mix rapidly for a minute.
9. Add the green onions, broccoli, and kale (or other vegetables) to the pan. Mix well.
10. Pour in the prepared sauce and continue cooking. Add the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
11. Once the sauce reaches your preferred consistency, add the cooked meat back into the pan. Cover with sauce.
12. Garnish with kale flowers (if desired) and serve atop a bowl of fresh rice.
