I recommend using a larger needle for the brim. It works much better for more loose stitches.

Very nice. I think I like the oatmeal color the best bc it looks a little bigger/wider w more slouch. Did you I crease your hook size? Was the yarn wider? Was your tension looser? There's definitely a difference. Thank you for this idea.

I have used the hook size which was recommended (4,5) and yarn for that size of hook and my hat turned out to fit a toddler. I will give it as a present to the boy of a friend of mine. Now I try it again with thicker yarn and 5,5 hook. Hope this will fit my head.

Love this hat....just went to hobby lobby and got yarn have a beautiful tweed I'm going to use for this hat. It's looks easy enough. Next time I make one need to go up a size on my hook had to make a few adjustments but got it to fit ok. Would of liked it bagger.

The pattern demonstrated is for an adult size? My tension is very tight and it came out rather small. Used a larger size hook and the medium 4 yarn fairly similar. Just adding extra increase rows worked out nicely.

I love the hat, but I find the brim very difficult to do. Do you have any other way to make the brim with just a sc instead of a slip stitch? The hat is coming out beautiful BTW, I love it.

Hi Annoo ... As I watch your video I realize you crochet much looser than I do! First I used a 4.5 mm hook as in the instructions and the hat came out too small, even for me and I wear child sized hats! I remade the hat using a 5.5 mm and added two pattern rows and two single crochet rows, and it came out slightly loose on me, so it should be good for the person I plan to gift it too. Beautiful pattern and easy to follow. I just wish there was an easy way to judge the finished size! (Another person whose patterns I make I need to go down a hook size!) Many Blessings!

I tried making this hat, the final product is really good. However, the size you have shared in this tutorial does not fit me and the size is a little bit small. Please suggest if I need to make any other adjustments or do I need to change my wool?

Hi, im a bit confused here, at round 6 u said: there is no increase at all so i got 9 DC in between the puff stitch then carry on to round 7: make 6 DC in the next st 2DC so we ll get 8 st in between puff st, how come end up 9 st???
