This is the way I install the Culinders and Pistons on most 450 Bikes, I choose to do it this way because it's a pain in the A$$ to fight with the Piston Rings when it's either on the bike or just trying to simply drop the Cyllinder on. The TRX450's are some of the Hardest Cylinders to get the Rings to Squeeze into.
Anyhow I hope that this video helps guys! Thanks for Watching!

Nice instructional video. The circlip gap should not line up with cut out. Clip should be rotated 180 degrees to be on opposite side of opening. According to service manual recommendations.

Do they normally only have one compression ring? I'm not a fan of that lol. Seems like you would lose compression

Actually 1 Compression ring is better for high compression and performance, however they are not meant to last as long. If you wan't reliability you wanna go with a Piston with 2 Compression Ting Lan cuts (2 Piston Rings).

I thought the gap in the circlip was not supposed to line up with the gap in the piston circlip groove.

That what what? I'm totally lost on what you're trying to imply. I assume you mean that the "Punch mark" on the Cir Clip goove is you're talking about? You don't want the C-Clip to bridge that.

@@trxtech3010 Next to the note , page 12-11, Trx 450r/er manual. "Do not align the clip end gap with the piston cutout". I thought as you did, but did as the manual stated. Also of note, I nearly had a problem when I reused the circlip that holds the plastic oil pump gear on in the side case. I woke up in the mourning in cold sweats, I replaced it and noticed a new one fits much tighter than the one I removed, perhaps I stretched it removing it. Really like you're videos on the 450. I learned to port my 07 with them. I account for at least 20 of you're views on the subject. So much inaccurate information from people with no mastery of the subject they inform on. You're channel is exceptional, Thanks.
