The cake looks scrumptious! What did you do with the top of the cake you cut off? Wouldn't it have come out the same if you'd just turned the cake upside down to have the bottom side on top for a flat surface to frost? Do you think it would have worked if you'd used Chia seed gel instead of the eggs in the batter? Also are there tasty frostings that could be made without cream cheese or butter? What about coconut cream mixed with the chocolate plus honey?
Hey Ella, I was just wondering if I could use maple syrup for the cake? I know it's not the same as honey but I have pure maple syrup i don't want to waste!
Better use sorghum or maple or stevia than honey, because the nutrition of honey will dissapear since you cooked it and mix with stainless steel stuff.
and if you consume too much honey(same goes for maple syrup) it can still give you diabetes since it's basically sugar. Just because it is natural it does not mean that it is automagically good for you
@@kiyoponnn In diabetic patients, real honey can reduce total cholesterol, LDL and CRP. Honey can be used as an alternative sweetener because besides having a better metabolism, it can also increase insulin levels compared to sucrose. But, do not consume too much..thats the point.
@@desyjono6241 Yeah you are smoking crack. Honey's glycemic index is similar to table sugar so it is terrible for diabetics. If you want actual improvements in LDL and total cholesterol you should eat more vegetables and exercise regularly. "it can also increase insulin levels compared to sucrose" this is not a good thing for diabetics, since it implies that that it increases blood sugar concentration more than sucrose. There's nothing healthy about that.

I baked it today. It was OK - but not a tasty as it looks... Maybe it depends on the type of honey you use... The cake itself was a bit dry, would have been better if slightly moister...
I mentioned it is REFINED sugar-free, not sugar-free. It uses natural sweeteners that are healthier than refined sugars. You can use date paste, or maple syrup instead of honey. Use the one you like best.
