Hi Alyssa! Won't let me respond to your comment (since it's via google+, and not directly on youtube).

My best suggestion is to look into premade molds. Will save you a ton of time. They have them online and in most hobby stores. Hope that helps!

I have a query about the glue gun molds! I made a crescent glue gun mold but the surface aka the front side of my resin charm after curing was not smooth at all! It didn't even have any shine. Infact there was hardly any glassy look to it, it was super foggy. Please help me!

Hm. Could be the type of resin you are using. I'd it two part air or uv cure?

Debbie Hyde Hi Debbie. Thanks for the comment! Looks like they changed the formula a couple of years ago. That's awesome! I will make an annotation in the video letting people know (and giving you a shout out). My bad for assuming this was the same as before. I've been using the Equinox putty for a few years now, and didn't see any of the Easy Mold in store locally (or else I would have grabbed it, since I prefer it to the amazing putty.) So glad to see this changed. If you use the easy mold for food applications often, you might want to check out the Equinox. They have a "slow version" that has a longer working time that I LOVE. Two pounds runs about $40. They sell it at Reynolds. if you have one locally. Sorry if this is babbling. I just love talking to other people who make stuff!

MakerHigh I'm a cake decorator and I have a really hard time making fondant faces for figurines....I had an employee open the box and read the instructions and it now says baking and chocolates so I'm guessing fondant will be okay too. I am trying right now to use a Barbie doll to make a mold. I like her face features so I'll let you know how it turns out...Thank you for sharing your video.

Nice! You should be able to use it for fondant. I actually bought some light blue from the baking aisle at Michael's to try when I start talking about casting, just to see if it works. Would love to hear how yours turns out! Side note: I did talk to someone who made cakes once at reynolds who uses the putty to make "stamps" for texturing her cakes around the sides. Might be something else to try if you have any left over. Good luck!

Not if it heats up at all. You're better off with silicone molds.

You can't really make your own silicone, but you can make molds out of silicone caulk, or you can buy two part silicone putty for mold making at hobby stores, which is easier but slightly more expensive.
