I had forgotten how to do clouds....I laid my brushes down 6 years ago when my mother (also an artist) passed...she did wonderful clouds. I am just now starting to paint again. Thank you so much for showing me how to do them again, I appreciate it.

the rain was crashing down on this video so sorry, also i had a lot of spill light and shadow so need to get a few more fill lights and a soft box, it will get better. ok back to tests

You make clouds so beautifully and make it look so easy. Sometimes mine just look like worm. Lol. I like the Prussian blue. So many artists only ultramarine it phthaloblue. I love Prussian blue and I’m glad to see how it works for a sky. I just bought your set of yellow paints and your paint thickener. It just arrived. I may have to get your slow dry white paint as well. Love watching you. Cheers.

Just started painting (at 56), and have found your channel. I love your 'don't worry about that' approach. So far I've done several of your starter paintings, just on cheap canvas boards, and have been well pleased with the outcome. I'm following now with clouds and blending techniques, and am progressing rather well. Keep up the good work, and the good Welsh humour.

Thanks Clive for all your videos, and teaching sharing, your tips...I enjoyed the xmas painting, it was really fun..your fun to watch as well. I like what you did with your studio, and the cams, this will be great. I hope the blending formula works out. It's a great idea for wet on wet. Many acrylic painters, beginners would like using something to help the blending with wet on wet. Lol, I remember your first vid when you went into your old paintings, keep up the great vids, have fun. If.you can, could you do a colorful seascape, showing how to paint the "eye" the transparent part, and the waves, also, how to paint rocks ...it's difficult with acrylic, I find. Great studio Clive, have fun. From the states, New Jersey....

Thank you Clive for all the awesome videos ! I always love paintings but I never thought I could paint, because I got so frustrated at myself. However, these awesome videos targeted at beginners start from the basics, teach hand-by-hand. they are challenging yet will not overwhelm passion. And there are rich materials covered. It's great!

CLIVE5ART I have finally finished my first attempt at clouds and rocks. I am not happy with the clouds (I am a perfectionist), they need work. I am pleased with my rocks. My 12 year old son laid claim to the painting and does not want me to make any changes. I think possible my brushes for the clouds were the problem so I am going to the art store as soon as I can. I have watched this video numerous times while attempting and am sure I will be watching it more as I continue to practice. Thank you again for all your time and videos.

I have been doing so many effects the "hard way" Manually placing and mixing colors and visual texture with so much intent. Rather than blending and allowing self created shapes and shadows. Your videos have helped me so much ! Dont get me wrong, my method worked.. but it was SO much work . Not enough fun. Thank you. :)

Your clouds are beautiful, and you make them so simple to do. I like both of your paintings, so simple and yet so beautiful. Don't worry about the rain crashing down, it added to the video. Quite comforting to know you can lose your cool !I found a picture or part picture of a Zebra today in a colour chart at B&Q so had a bit of a play using your trace technique cos I dont think I could free hand draw it quite pleased really may actually try it on a canvas this was just onto card .I will check out more cloud tips from you.

Hi Clive, you are doing a lot of wet into wet these days and developing a medium, so why is it that you don't use oils? Just interested. I use both and some of these techniques would be the very same in oils, which is great!

The lighting was better (not so yellow), but the sound is a bit noisy (sizzle).

Sizzle most probably the rain hitting my studio roof there was a storm outside could not remove it so tried to soften it guess it didn't work. The lights were off also I need more fill lights and a soft box next time it will improve
