I tried this today. I made a boo-boo with how I sewed the waistband to the apron but I pulled it out and fixed it. Turned out great in the end!! Thanks!!!
@@ramonakearns2101 I used a quilting cotton fabric for the apron. You could double the fabric on the body of the apron to make it heavier. Or you could use a heavier fabric, like a canvas, but Keep in mind that will make the tie ends stiffer also..
Thanks for the basic parts of cutting and sewing this apron. I would have used the remaining fabric or 24" on the side of the waistband and apron to cut pockets. Also, I would have sewn the straps leaving the ends that attach to the band unsewn to attach to the waistband. This eliminates all that measuring. Note: I was a garment industry machine operator, we had no pins.
