Thank you!🙂 Yes, you’re right. I’ve tried looking for a flat travel brush before and I had trouble finding one. I think you can get one in an Escoda set, but I remember it being expensive.

They have make-up brush shape holders on Amazon that would work instead of a cap. I use them for my regular brushes and for pastels, so my hands don't get dirty They are netted and conform to the shape. I would also suggest nail polish on the raw wood end so it doesn't absorb water and warp. Great video.

Thank you Jade! The cool thing about this, is you can use any size bush you like. Provided that the brush has a wooden handle.

Great video thanks. Informative, clear and concise. If anyone is interested, cutting at an angle across the handle (with a saw), will create an 'oval' shaped cross section that presents a variety of curves for various scraping effects, as well as the sharp point for your lines. (Another commenter suggested sealing the wood with nail varnish, which seems like a good idea.)

Thank you! Yes finger nail polish would probably work great for this. I don’t have any, so I’ve just been using it the way it is. It works fine this way, but black finger nail polish would make it look nicer.

You can curl stiff paper or an index card into a funnel shape that fits around the handle and tape or glue it to make a brush cover that you slide on from the bottom. Dipping the cut end in polyurethane or acrylic craft paint will protect the bare wood, or you can rub it with beeswax or crumpled waxed paper.

That is a great idea! I have that travel set as well. I like it, except the handle for the middle size doesn’t fit tight….

Thank you! For the price, I am very pleased with my travel set. If your middle size doesn't fit, maybe you could put a thin piece of tape around the handle? I don't know if it will work, but it seems like it might make a better fit.
