In this video we will be making some easy cookies that you can bake for Valentine’s Day. These are cake mix cookies and you can use any cake mix you would like. I am using Strawberry because of Valentine’s Day. You can always add some frozen strawberries in the batter if you like. Ingredients
1 box white cake mix
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degree and line a baking sheet with a silicon baking mat or parchment paper.
2. Mix eggs, oil, vanilla, and cake mix in a large bowl.
3. (Optional) If using Vanilla cake mix you can divide the dough into two equal amounts and place each in a small bowl. Add food coloring to the different bowls to make different colors.
4. Refrigerate or freeze dough for at least 30 minutes to make the dough a more easy to work with and to get fluffier cookies.
5. Using a tablespoon cookie scoop to measure out the dough. Then roll each dough ball in powdered sugar or you can roll each dough ball regular and place on prepared baking sheet. *If you find the dough is too sticky, add about one tablespoon of flour to the dough and work that in.
6. Bake for 9-11 minutes at 375 degrees, allow to cool a minute or two on baking sheet before removing to cooling rack.
