I in my field do the same thing, don't ask the client when you know the right answer. It's also one of the things that show someone has done the job for a long time because you know what and when to ask questions. I found your channel through being interested in the shape of a traditional tack hammer (sorry so new I'm probably already forgot the correct name!) It was actually a really cool channel about woodworking, explaining hand tools, restoration of them and creating beautiful pieces. I will try and go back get correct spelling of his name. He had to make a new handle for his hammer. Interesting enough he used his hammer in part for adjusting his plane umm wooden wedge to adjust the iron. Lol I'm a neophyte in all of these crafts but love learning!!! I'm super glad you are sharing your skills, experience and knowledge with us! I'm so glad you are a teacher because you do an amazing job of explaining things in a way that sticks with a touch of humor and the interesting history thrown in!!! It just makes my heart happy!!! So glad your video was a suggestion under the other channel I found while hunting from the original woodwork craftsman (don't think he would call himself that yet because he is still only a few years in but I do) Hope you are having a epic and wonderful Sunday!!!

The channel I came from using click through (lol I think that is the correct term!) Journey North (the click through channel, he spoke about the history and restored a hammer) And Eoin Reardon (he is a wood craftsman, restores and teaches about tools and more)

I have a wing chair similar to the barrel chair but with exposed wood. It does have a channel backwash I loath. Because of the wood finish it was likely made in the 50's. Be interested to see howthe orange chair looks finished. Like the pleats and button idea.
