I really miss what you were doing when I first started watching you. Probably 4 yes now, maybe a little more. I am still only making cards but my style has changed since I was younger and since watching you and others and learning new things. I would say it was you who got me interested in the mixed media, but I haven't really got there, other than some with my cards. I have purchased a few things now and would like to Dip my toes in. Still need decent stencils. This video was helpful and I will probably watch some older videos. You family and your family are precious. 💖
Thank you for the refresher course. I watched you several years ago doing this. May you all be blessed with healing. I’m saying a prayer for your family now.
Get well soon to you & your beautiful family ! Well done for getting a doctors appointment as it is near impossible at the moment to get seen. 👍🏼⭐️Brilliant, just the recap lesson I needed as I ha e watched you do this technique so many times & thought 💭 I had it but if you do a few different moves it doesn’t turn out as nice. What a great idea to stencil texture paste onto a load of tags or pieces of paper & practice all the different mediums, I am definitely goi g to do this. Thanks again !
Thank you so much for this video it’s very inspirational, you have helped me to get out of my head and onto the page and I’m having so much fun. Praying for you and your sweet family’s health, many blessings🙏.
Uwielbiam Twoje filmy - w szczególności zabawy z fakturami, malowanie różnymi mediami. Uwielbiam kartki, prace mix mediowe i junk jurnale. Naklejki i ostatnie zwierzątka nie do końca do mnie przemawiają - ale lubię Cię słuchać więc i te oglądam... super, że jesteś (dzięki Tobie poznałam "woodis" i zażyczyłam sobie na urodziny i jestem nimi oczarowana). BUZIAKI
I love those effects that paint creates. I use acrylics with lots of water to make them liquid. I like the variety of colors, opaque, shiny, metallic, pearl. You just showed me a new way, not to use the spray, but to apply it with the little tube of the container: I'm going to try it. What technique would I like to see? Dye paper. With what? What? different effects. Take care, Marta, I know that the health system is not working well anywhere, for a common flu, which we catch with the changes of seasons, with the changes in temperature. A big hug.
Thank you for showing how to "bring the colors down." Something I struggle with. I also was unsure about using such dark colors in the middle of the project. I thought it had to be dark at top and eventually or gradually lighten at the bottom. Please show more of these. Perhaps with more textures. They are beautiful. Glad to hear your family is getting the adequate medication. Glad you put your strong parenting skills to the doctors. Please take care and thank you for bring us back to basics. 💕💕💕
Thanks Marta for your technique video. I ordered your stencils and cat digi paper a couple of weeks ago and have just received my package from you,SO EXCITED to create something with them. And I just have to put this out into the universe, I LOVE CATS!! your kitties are so cute and perfect
love the textures and colours you created, you've inspired me to create an awesome craft space in a small space in my house, i'll show you pics soon, but I am desperate to get back to crafting in my new space! Ikea delivery this friday!
Just what I needed to see! I am one of those that struggle with colouring. I have issues with what colours go together and how much to put down on my paper. You explained your technique very well. I am going to practice with tags as well as they are smaller. Thanks so much for sharing. I just love listening and watching you work!
Hi Marta. You sound breathless and I was concerned you were stressed out so I’m a bit relieved that you’re on the mend from an infection and all the family too. Just wanted to say a big thank you for explaining this technique in such detail as my pages never look like yours. This is really helpful and I’m going to focus on this. Love the stencils btw!
I love watching you Marta! These came out beautiful and it is so easy the way you teach us how! Thank you so much! 💕💕💕☕️☕️☕️💕💕💕 Thank you so much for the free digi papers on buy me a coffee!!!
First of all, my dear Marta, I am so happy you were all able to get seen by a doctor and are on antibiotics. I was praying for that the other day when I heard your voice and you told us about the coughing and wheezing. You will start to improve each day dramatically. Make sure you drink lots of liquids (it will flush out all the mucus), rest well and you'll be back to your normal selves soon. Speaking of Bob Ross, I love his work and how he taught painting. He made what I saw a difficult painting easier to do with his calm, gentle voice and tutorials. I've painted several of his pieces, and even sold 5 of them with 3 hanging in our house in different rooms. Now, to your beautiful tags, I love what you did with the textures. I never thought of using paste with stencils as I wondered if the paper is not strong enough to withstand the heaviness of the paste without curling. I'm assuming that is because of the gesso you put on? Thanks for that tip!! I've been using those sponge daubers and ink pads to color with a spritz of water. Maybe you can show others how to use ink pads with the sponges, distress crayons and gelatos as I see some people are wanting to know how to use them. I've watched several of your videos and have learned many different techniques using the different mediums. It's a lot of fun experimenting. Feel better dear!!
THANK YOU. First time I tried coloring texture it was soaked and muck. I finally gave up and haven’t tried again. Now I’m ready to try again and will buy a few stains. The technical videos are always needed. Even choosing the correct stencil for a certain effect is valuable knowledge. Keep teaching Marta, you are a blessing 💗
I Love Them All Marta!!! It is one of my Most Favorite things to do!!! Thank you for showing me the techniques I had forgotten about!!!! Thank you so much Beautiful Friend!!! You are the Best!!!😇💙💖💖💖😀
Oh, the paints and the crayons are really lovely, but they cannot compare to the sprays. I mean, WOW! The sprays are gorgeous. I have to get myself some sprays. And yes. I've learned from Bob Ross too. He is a talented man.
The tags are beautiful. I think part of my trouble, is I watch you, it looks so simple and easy. Then I do it and it doesn't look so good. So I'm frustrated. But we all MUST remember you have skills from all your experience, that you are using, but we don't have. You know when & where to put color. I just do some here, ok there. We must practice, practice, practice. And have FUN. Don't stress. Its just PAPER!! You mentioned following the color. Great advice. And going back with earlier colors. And PRACTICING! I make ONE tag, and as little as I do texture paste, that one tag seems like a huge investment of myself. So its lot of pressure to get it right. If I have 10, it seems like less pressure to do well. So I'm going to do at least 5 next time. I'm still spaying the sprays!!! Did it today! I don't like it. No control. I need to pull the top out and do your way. So much better. This video has been VERY HELPFUL!!! Thank you so much, Marta. I definitely need technical skills help! I never know what color to pick! Austin,TX USA
Yes, I am new to all of this and really needed to know how to color the paste. I cannot wait to try these. Thank you so much. I hope you all feel better soon.
Thanks so much for sharing your technique, beautiful tags. For me, my struggle in art journaling is how best to work within a spiral bound mixed media journal, how best to work with the papers and all you've shown, but working with a wired edge. Because of such it seems impossible to do a double page spread. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. You are definitely my favorite mixed media artist, so very glad I found you through the frugal crafters channel. I pray that you and your entire family are blessed with a miraculous recovery. Love you all. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Thank you so much for this tutorial Marta, I struggle with the colouring so this video is just what I need. I know you have videos on making a mixed media with junk canvas using acrylics but I would love to know more especially about the placement of pieces and then the colouring, if that's possible. I have collected quite a few interesting pieces but i'm a bit nervous about starting lol. I hope you and the family recover very soon, hugs and best wishes to you all
Marta, I LOVE THIS....Ty for making a video about coloring, my issue i fight with, plus u made some awesome backgrounds on your tags & Ya know what i thought of first?? These tags are gonna be amazing with your fussy cut digi paper/elements & the adorable cat & dog figures 👍👍 Id love to see a video where u finish the tags with fun elements 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
I hope and pray for you and your family . I hope you all feel better soon. Love love these tags ! Great video Marta. I have gelatos and distress crayons. Just in case you'd like to test these out. Sending love and hugs Sherry 🌷🌷🌷🦋🦋🦋🦋
These are gorgesso! Def need to try! Maybe how about how you choose the backgrounds and elements when you Dona page, and how you make it all merge nicely. I mean I've seen loads of your lives etc, but maybe if you could break that bit down, like what's going on in your head, your thoughts your process. Thanks x
Always love watching your videos so much....Thank you so much for the inspiration! What color was the second Lindy's spay you used? I haven't used my Lindy's in awhile....please do more with these or their powders. Thankfully you and your family are on the mend....Take care!
@@donnaconaway9368 Not at all, but what I will say is that you do need a little more mica powder with a white texture paste vs a clear drying texture paste due to the opacity of the pigment that has been already added to the white texture paste to make it white. One other tip is that the colour you add to the clear drying texture paste will appear to become deeper and richer as if dries due to the paste having a white hue when wet. But back to your original question, it's difficult to give exact quantities because the outcome will vary depending on the brand of mica powder you are using, the brand of paste you are using and your desired look. So I'd start by adding a little mica powder at a time using the tip of a pallet knife (or the little spoon that is sometimes provided with the mica powder) and mixing that into your paste then transfer the paste into a small airtight container and swatch out some of the transfered paste then let the swatch dry to see if you'd like the dried colour if to be richer or deeper if it's too pale because you can always add a little more mica to the paste that you have saved in the container but you can't take it out. You might have to repeat this process a couple of times so that you can reach the desired colour. If my way of explaining is too complicated then there are few videos on RU-vid that demonstrate the quantities and processes maybe a little better than I do. Have a lovely day Donna. 😊
Hi, I was hoping you would show us how to use gelatos, I brought the whole set but not to sure how to use them. Thanks for sharing water colouring etc. Can’t wait to see the tags finished. 🌹❤️🌸🇳🇿
Gloria, absolutely no apology is necessary! Have a great day, afternoon, evening, night!?? Don't you just love Marta??!! I bet she will do another video that will include coloring with gelatos!!! We will both be ready to play!! LOL
