As a child, I did kits with printed felt designed to have sequins stitched down with beads. I recently found one that was never finished (it may have belonged to my sister) but I should have little difficulty finding replacement sequins and beads to complete the original design. After that, it should be possible to transform it with additional felt or fabric and create something new and interesting over the original calendar months. This video has inspired me.
What a wonderful video! I have a bunch of sequins and was considering giving them away. I didn't know how to use them. Not anymore! Thanks for sharing! I love your Ginger cat. Very beautiful! 😺♥
😹😹noticed when you did the first sequence and turned on its side I noticed there were two sequences squished together. I love using beads and sequence in my work, but I love the smaller ones, spent the last 12 months collecting 2-3 mm ones in a wide range of colours. I have a lot of the spangles which I bought over time when they have been on special as they do cost a lot more than the sequences. Thankfully beads a not a problem as I use to make jewellery and over the past 10 plus years I have a very healthy collection of crystal, glass, plastic, resin as well as precious and semi precious gems. Many of them I had bought for doing embroidery work and not jewellery as I wanted to use rubies, garnets as well as sapphires, as they are small they were not as expensive, I bought them for a dress I have designed and hope to make one day soon.
Perfect timing for my Christmas stitch planning! The sampler you did at RSN has some interesting things on. Can we have a look at the other embellishments on there please? Thank you Sarah
