Fantastic tutorials. I watched your first one yesterday and was hoping there were more! It really feels like these are methods even a beginner like myself could pull off

Glad you like them! They absolutely are methods anyone can do. It takes a little while to practice the 'what's and whys' of some of it, especially in terms of either materials or how it should all work together, but there's nothing unachievable here.

Very nice base, love all the effects you made on the pipe, I will try to do some of that when I put old pipes on my scenery or on my bases.

If you used a like spongy foam with all those pours, with a bit of paint on it and lightly press it on the surface of the pipe it would make a nice like rust flakey effect. Or is the layering a better way to manage the effect by slowly building it up?

It depends on what you're trying to achieve, I use foam when I weather tanks (which we'll get to on the channel soon, it's a bit of a specialty of mine) , because it fits the scale and the type of chipping (in battle things are moving faster, the chips are fresher so they're sharper) but for static objects like the pipe which wear over a long time, the softer layered approach is good. It's each to their own on terms of what effect you prefer though
