I love how you paint in real time instead of speeding up the video like many artists do. Your commentary is also very thorough and helpful. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials -- I'm learning a lot from you!
Ellen, you have given us much to play and practice in watercolor, with so many delightful holiday time critters and other items, we associate with the winter months. We too have a fair amount of snow and cool temps, here in mid coast Maine. I love the snow, it’s the ice here that’s more than bothersome! I’m ready for ice skating and Xcojntry skiing, as a beginner with both.
Dear little deer! I love it when you paint critters. I have learned so much about wet into wet watching you these last few months and have been doing a lots of 4” minis for card/gifts.
I’m loving these cute character Christmas paintings. It’s truly helping me get my holiday journal pages in and cards done. Thank you, they are easy enough but super darling and cute!
Even before I watch the video, I just have to say that she’s about the cutest little darlin ever. Such a sweet face. Now, back to the video. Yep!!! Cutest little darlin ever!
Thank you for showing how to draw the deer with the marker at the beginning. I love to watercolor, but drawing is not my strong point. When I saw how simple it truly was, I knew I could do it! So cute!
SO Pretty. Thank you Ellen for showing how to mix, apply and blend the colours. I am learning loads... By the way my teeny Poodle also adores watching and is transfixed!
Mine looks a bit more like something between a mouse and a deer but still very cute though.. so I will go along with wathever my aunt will think it is. Happy Hollidays!
Newbie to your channel and water color, trying to catch up on all your videos, thanks for explaining everything and I have to say this is perfect for my grandkids holiday cards very cute!
Your videos are so student centered. I have learned so much from you! Your relaxed manner and information sharing is an effective combination. You build confidence and skill at the same time. Thank you so much.
NEVER THOUGHT OF WATERCOLORS AS EASY TIL I FOUND YOUR CH. LOVE THE WAY YOU TEACH SO SIMPLE.. PLAIN.. REALLY ENJOYING ALL YOUR VIDEOS... ESPECIALLY THE HOLIDAY.. AWESOME.. THANKS SO MUCH
Ellen, this is absolutely beautiful and adorable! And it has sparked my creativity. I’m not exactly sure where you live, but I live in the south and our scarfs and our hats have to match. And, I would say the hardest thing you painted in this picture was that tartan scarf. That was incredible. Oh, and that’s my favorite part of this painting. When I try to repaint this, I’m just gonna try to match up his red hat and make his scarf red to match. Make it a little easier for myself. 😂❤
I just painted this as a Christmas card for my sis in law. She’s going to love it...it’s so cute! Thank you for sharing & teaching this. Happy Holidays.
He's lovely! I've been using some techniques I've learned from you in my projects and it's really helping me. I'm having fun doing the negative painting for the backgrounds...never tire of watching how the paint goes where it wants to, it certainly has a mind of its own!
OMG.. i discovered your channel as a Recommend and I have been absolutely hooked for days.. LOL. Every day you bring us something new and charming. As I had my postcard size watercolor paper out doing some personal thank you's I had this video come up in notifications and so did it in real time with you... YOU ARE SUCH A GOOD TUTORIAL maker! Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄💖
Eeeeek! 😍🦌 She's precious! 😍 You make it look so easy! I think I need to get out of my head and just slam the paint down and see what happens. 😁😂🤣 I appreciate your videos, how you show the sketch before and the real time painting during. 😊 So inspiring! 🤗
Thank you for doing this love it, been playing water color but watching how you did this really helped me to understand how to let the water and paint work for you while trying to make it realistic looking. If that makes any sence
I loved the video tutorial so much I really want to give it a try. Thank you so much for all the terrific info you teach me especially how to draw the deer.
