Wow very cool. I like to explore the markets I'm thinking about going and doing a few more videos at some of these markets. I'm glad you got some entertainment out of the video. 👍👍
@@Willtravelz We have a bowling league made from expats and tourists that meets every Thursday at Lotte Mart. You might wish to come if you like to bowl.
@ciacciom oh sounds cool. I actually bowled there last year one time at the mall. If you look through my older videos there's a video called the coolest mall in Danang. I went bowling that day on the video. I definitely will keep that in mind. 👍👍
It's called sweet red beans, adzuki is the name in Japanese. It's a common dessert filling in Asia. Sometimes it's even made with white beans, sesame seed, a type of green beans, and mung beans.
@@sanjuanlaunionvlog yeah they're pretty cheap too so you can't go wrong. Each is like about 60 or 70 cents maybe even a little less. And you can get them all over town they come with different types of meats inside also
Just subscribed. Saw you posting in the Quy Nhon groups. Everyone is different I guess. I loved Da Nang - but only been there for a few days. I married a Quy Nhon local but we currently live in the UK and visit Quy Nhon. I think I prefer the pace of Quy Nhon - much more relaxed. Going back November/December for a few weeks. Not been for a while, but hoping it still hasn't been touched yet by Western tourism. If you haven't been to the Quy Nhon Sports Bar, that's where you need to head for all the info on the area. Docker (if she's there when you visit) is the Australian owner and can point you in the right direction for whatever you prefer to do.
@@constructionpropertylinked410 thank you for subscribing. I appreciate it. Quy nhon is definitely different from danang. I'm here for 4 days. Should have some new video uploaded soon. 👍👍
Please start including the names of these places or a photo of the storefronts and the streets you are on. As I am here and want to check some of them out
There's a market right behind the main Street and it goes down about 3 or 4 blocks. I'll give you the address to the milk tea place that's in the video the market is basically one Street behind it and one street down. Everyone in that neighborhood knows where the market is so if you ask anyone they'll point you in the right direction. Here's the address to the milk tea place that's basically right in front of the market. 85 Nguyễn Văn Thoại, An Hải Đông, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng 55000, Vietnam
@@wilshirebloke will my channel is mostly focused on USA viewers. So in the terms of coming from the USA it's extremely cheap when you compare it to the USA. A big part of the reason why I moved out of the USA was to go to a country or countries that I can live a similar lifestyle that I had in the USA at 50% or less cost.
@@mattrins relative to average wages its terrible. It's also one way for foreigners to drive up inflation, real estate prices, and exacerbate the effects of income disparity. People who tend to move also don't have a valid drivers license, proper visas, speak the language, or know the culture. Money is the only abstraction that lets you live like a king. It's not good for societies to create this digital nomad lifestyle especially when you see a clueless American going for the sake of being cheap to them. It erodes local culture, requires much more resources for your AC and high rise condos, and makes tourism/catering towards foreigners seem like the only path in the local economy. take Thailand for example where hospitality is one of the most studied majors in university, or the overseas Filipinos who see remittance as the only way to escape poverty. Of course, people will still buy into it because quick money is money. But just have some more sensitivity to this and at least try to blend in and live like a local
@wilshirebloke You do not seem familiar with the actual situation in Vietnam. For one, foreigners purchasing property here is highly restricted, and thus does not affect property prices. Foreigners are restricted per apartment building to around 20%, so any tourist driven growth necessarily creates more supply for locals. Those without a proper driver's licence get fined. I have a valid international license and am at a school learning to get the local licence because the test is only offered in the Vietnamese language. Foreigners can't be expected to learn the language right off the plane - that's a ridiculous complaint. Vietnam is not a tourism dependent country. I live in Da Nang like Will, and it is not the case that there is no economy without tourism. And it's not the case that highly qualified people become taxi drivers because it pays better (it doesn't). You delivered a lecture from a position of ignorance.
@@mattrinsYou’re only welcomed for the dollars or euros you bring in and it’ll always be that way. Still saying things are “so cheap” is a huge “f you”to the locals since you’re immune to local inflation and taxation anyways.
