Yall HAVE to understand that not everyone lives with a camera recording themselves every day. If someone asks u not to film them u should at least be respectful and not film them. There are plenty of food reviewers that don’t show the employees. It wouldn’t even have taken away from ur video.

He wasn’t disrespectful or hostile. He just didn’t want to be recorded. Which is fair and understandable. I think you guys should do better at being respectful of people’s decision to not want to be recorded. Just because he works there, don’t mean he has to consent to being on your vlog.

I think it’s safe to assume since you guys are so used to cameras, you tend to forget other ppl simply don’t like being recorded. There was nothing wrong with him stating he didn’t want to be recorded. I believe you guys need to do a better job on that part & be more understanding about it, truthfully.

no brennen, the guy was being completely reasonable. he wasn't hostile but assertive and he did get a bit annoyed because jake continued to point the camera at him. imagine you're having a bad day at work or just getting through the day at work and someone comes up with a camera in your face recording you as you're working. its annoying. some people do not like to be on camera and that doesn't makethem sketch. it makes them human with feelings and emotions. nothing wrong with respecting someones wishes. i watch so many other food reviewers on youtube and they NEVER show the workers on their videos. cause most people do not want to be recorded at work. do better. and yes its not illegal but it just an act of respect.

I think next time you should ask the restaurants if it’s okay to film…some people aren’t comfortable having their faces on camera. No need to be rude just respect an individual’s boundaries.

The fact that at 18:43 you wanted us to go to their yelp and bash them on there just because of the way you were treated cause the worker did not want to be recorded is honestly mean of you guys like come on! Just because someone doesn’t want to be recorded doesn’t mean they’re sketchy or they don’t have customer service . Most of your videos I like but the eating at sketchy restaurants is starting to make me think differently you think negatively and at the end was uncalled for when you said let me leave before they start something again and we have to fist fight smh .

People have the right to not want to be recorded. He probably seemed more forceful because he could tell you were still recording him and not respecting his privacy

I am not going to lie. I would totally hate being filmed if I worked somewhere. lol Its always so hot in those jobs so you looked wrecked and half dead. Maybe they are hiding from the mob? Claiming the last restaurant made you feel sick is a lot more serious than you think. Employees tampering with food is illegal and could lead to serious reprimands or jail time for the employee. That stuff is no joke and shouldn't be used as a way to shade.

So what happened was: Guy didnt want to be recorded (I didnt notice him being rude all I saw was him being assertive) so then you put him and his place of work on blast even leaving an impression that you would have your followers call and complain (or whatever followers do). Dude. You cant try and ruin a guys life by him losing his job or whatever because he asked not to be recorded. Thats just weird energy.

I thought the women at the lunch stop bar was mad chill. You could tell as she walked up she wasn’t keen on being on camera but she was a smart ass in a fun cool way. I thought a $10 tip was a little light considering she seemed to be the waitress, cook and probably bartender as well.

Sayin' it fully with respect, you guys need to remember where you came from. The egos are gettin' too inflated. Respect others. Respect workers. Don't ever assume. You are in their place of work, and the workplace should always be a safe place. Don't make people uncomfortable at their workplace and then bash them because it didn't go your way.

Finally they got called out. RU-vidr ego is real. Jake just agrees with whatever is bro says otherwise he won’t get paid.

First people in the parking lot were joking around and Jake’s ego couldn’t take it and instead made it look like they were trying to start something with him. These guys really have the biggest ego and think they’re hot shit for no reason, in reality they have no clue what they’re talking about 75% the time

The gentleman at the end of your video at dinner time was not mad nor hostile. You have to understand you are coming into his community looking sketchy too. Your brother had negative energy to just because you want to call a that young man "boss" he got mad aggressive energy😒. That young black man just wanted to understand why are you filming. Just because you say you will blur someone out, doesn’t mean it’s still okay to record people. That person is trusting a stranger to do what they will with footage of them and even if you blur them they still have their voice on there and where they work. And TBH your blur of him was crap, you can still see his face in certain parts. Just be respectful if you’re going to do these types of videos at “sketchy” places.

Literally in some houses, there’s a 2nd bathroom connected to the kitchen due to plumbing reasons. Why be grossed out by something so normally that makes sense to everyone else? Plumbing and piping are a thing, you can’t keep them apart cuz you think it’s weird. Think about every single house or building you’ve ever been in. Just be respectful of people who don't want to be recorded. It isn't going to hurt your videos to edit them in such a way that is respectful to those around you. Voice overs is totally a thing and not a cop out.

The batters box is a classic spot, and is kinda an example of “old Nashville” before shit got gentrified all to hell. Nashville used to have tons of spots like it. Also, not everyone wants to be filmed and that’s okay. They weren’t being rude at all.

Some people don't like to be filmed. If you weren't the RU-vidr making decent money, and instead served burgers, would you want to be filmed the other way around? Even outside of employment, some people just don't want to be on film. It should be their right according to human code. If somebody doesn't want to be recorded, don't record them, don't make a meme about it, don't include them, just stop recording them. Easy.

Maybe the dude had a bad experience with someone else filming him, and tbh it makes workers feel like some zoo animal on display. We're just doing our jobs, usually if there's a camera, we think something is up automatically these days. Please learn from this and I hope you take this into consideration in future videos.

I think the morale of the story is just ask people before you film them. It only takes a minute and you can edit it out. I wouldnt just be expecting people to be okay with it off the bat! Plus not doing it is a major data protection issue.
