In today's video, we wanted to show you a restaurant at The Villages, Florida called Sonny's Bar-B-Q. It is a chain restaurant throughout Florida and surrounding states but this one is specifically at Lake Sumter Landing at The Villages. It is a good place! The staff was very friendly! Unfortunately, they were out of their cornbread which is so stinkin' good! Everything we got was good. If you are in the mood for some BBQ, check out Sonny's BBQ. This gives you another restaurant at Lake Sumter Landing at the Villages, Florida!

We are Big Fans of their BBQ Pork Egg Rolls as well as the big bbq sampler platter, which we split! We love their garlic bread, baked beans & Cole slaw, & all of their sides are most excellent! Half & half tea is our go to too!! Always great service & delicious food. We are always too stuffed to eat dessert!

Thanks for sharing! We have never tried the egg rolls so we will add that to our list. Have you tried the cornbread? Also, the dessert is great!

I haven’t tried the grilled cheese patty melt yet since 1967 after having my first patty melt it was the best I have ever tried. I have looked and tried them all over the US. I will have to try the cheese melt. I’ve moved here in June 17th have been to TooJays once a week always order the regular patty melt. The breakfast are outstanding too. They have a deli shop too. And dessert shop.

Sonny’s is definitely a Florida favorite. There’s one in Clewiston. Why would you go there? To ride the Sugar Express steam train.

I haven’t been to a Sonny’s in years -back when I lived down there in the 90’s. Was a fave of mine for basic bbq. Thanks for the memories! I’m a 50-50 tea person myself 🤣. 👍

Have you guys tried TooJays yet. I’m a patty melt lover and when my wife was alive we did a lot of traveling and of the restaurant served a Patty melt I had to try them. In California in the city of Orange they had the best patty melt been trying to find one that equals there for years and I think TooJays was a match. They have 2 kinds regular and grilled cheese patty melt

Sonny’s was decent, “OK” in comparison to other eateries. Banana Pudding is very nice but just a replica of a cheap packet mix (Angel Delight) in the UK. If you are calorie counting then it could be your only meal that day. 🤣🤣

We just left The Villages this week after our Lifestyle Preview Visit. We were hoping to see you guys in one of the restaurants! Have you guys ever been to The Flying Biscuit? We went there for breakfast and it was great! Nice people work there too.😀
