He also only used his hands to touch pizza. One 1-star place had a server clean a table with spray (chemicals), then touch the pizza with his bare hands. One touched his back. One touched his phone. From what we know, that chef didn't do any of that.

I think they're just learning... Most chefs wash their hands. Gloves aren't necessary. Health inspectors like seeing gloves but none are required. A guy with gloves on just needs to touch one wrong thing and those gloves are contaminated. It's really no better than properly cleaned hands. I also notice that these dudes are starting to do a little research first. Learn about food before talking about and rating it.

arran 1:08 Because the outside of the restaurant where he’s putting his hand all over doesn’t have any bacteria on it, right? You call it a 5 star restaurant like it’s a Michelin star restaurant. It’s just a pizza joint with good tasting pizza, which doesn’t translate to it being completely sanitary.

He can wash his hands and not need to wear gloves. The staff at the one star place touched their phone, apron, the counter, etc. and then also touched the food. Cross contamination. If you wash your hands and only touch food and cooking equipment, you don’t need gloves.

You should've gone to Lombardi's in Little Italy; it's a landmark for pizza. Personally, I always liked Avellino's in Rego Park (Queens).

As an American born Nigerian who lives down the street from an Armenian family that have three goldfish they bought in Germany that were exported from Italy, I too approve .
