I volunteer at a hospital two times a week and it has its ups and downs. It’s food you can eat, you aren’t there to get a 5 course meal, just something you can eat and then get back to work or visiting a patient. But seriously they have some good and bad food depending on where you go.

Abigail Truxillo that’s very interesting most of the time they don’t want patients near people that are in the cafeteria because they’re are other patients that are sick and there are visitors that are around sickness it would be a like coughing on someone who has no immune system I hope they change that because I would never want to stay there and if a patient can go to the cafeteria then they should be at home not at the hospital

when I had my baby some years ago, I went into a public hospital in mexico expecting the worst, I was so happy that the food was good. Some even delicious. I may have no standards.

Every hospital I've eaten at has had really good food. I feel like the stigma around hospital food being bad comes from patients having to eat a bland diet. Generally cafeterias make good food especially since employees and the public eat there.

Story time 😂 so one time my step-dad was in the hospital and they gave him a huge fluffy breaded grilled cheese perfectly shaped and everything with a HUUUGE red juicy strawberry on top.... he’s allergic to strawberries he told them and showed them his wrist band with his allergies took the good grilled cheese away and came back with a small smashed soggy grilled cheese 😂😂😂

@@oliviajeanne7709 I have Crohn's disease so for that time when I was very sick all they have me was one cup of tea in the morning and one at night, it was really difficult! No one craves hospital food but I'd cry when the food came in for other patients because I was, unfortunately, in a shared room and had to watch them eat their meals, and coffee and toast for breakfast... It was hard!
