Melting under white phosphorus from the IOF or melting under the agony of watching it happen. The modern world is not good, but the world of tomorrow yet could be 🚩
Only 8? I was expecting 12, I vaguely know that you can knock off like the first 2 zeros (first? Last?) but I’m never sure of specific conversions beyond that
@darkdruidsvale thats actually the popular conversion guideline for American Tourists in Japan because we assume that they can't do math. "just remove the 2 0's at the end" it's actually pretty accurate because the cost of food in America on average is 30% higher than in Japan. So them technically being 30% off when converting price actually keeps it more accurate.
@@OtaK-fr, they think by sitting on their comfy sofa and writing "free Israel", that it will solve that problem in Israel. If they care so much about that country why don't they enlist and actually do something instead of being lazy and hoping for something to happen 😂
"melting under the stress of the world" is such a fucking line that speaks to me. Your shorts are what gives this stressed exhausted dad the happy lil fuzzy chemical I need to get through my 10 hour shift
It is nice to really treat yourself once in awhile. Like once a month i love going to one of my favorite malls to go shopping, walking around and enjoying the ambience, and then treat myself to a nice slice of crepe cake. Sure each slice is like $9, but it's still a very good treat that i just love getting once a month 😋
@@Keys2Notes Its a song off of the Game boy version of Legend of Zelda Links Awakening. I also believe theres several variations of it in its tempo. I used to play the crap out of that game one of the best
@@Keys2Notes They did a remake on the Switch thats worth checking out too. I as well had gotten stuck at a couple points in my first playthrough it was always something dumb I had missed
I'm glad that you are feeling better. Being sick is no picnic and not a vacation. You are perfectly justified in treating yourself to something extra special. Take it easy!
PSA: if you are on a shoestring budget or you've been gorging yourself and can't stomach a whole parfait, Morozoff also has custard puddings for just 400 yen. You can get them to go and they are quite amazing. The souvenir cookie boxes they sell are a bit mid though.
@@cookiestrong8757 it's closer to 7, actually. it sounds low, but i presume the prices of products reflect that? i've never been to japan, so let me know if i'm wrong. i believe this creator is from the US and most of his audience is likely from the western world, so £6.50 for a dessert isn't that expensive.
@@meh_81 I’m from Japan. The minimum wage differs depending on where you live. I believe the lowest is 790¥ which is 5.44$. But the average is about 900¥ which would be 6.20$.
@@meh_81 The prices do reflect that. That’s why all foreigners that come here say everything is so cheap. lol Even though it’s a very normal price when you consider our salary.
Fun fact. That dessert you have is like the lowest normally priced when it comes to desserts in restaurants in Norway. If I was to go get me a milkshake at one of the closest hamburger places where I live, it would cost me minimum 80 NOK/1000 Yen / 7 USD. In normal restaurants probably around 149 NOK/ 2000 YEN / 13,50 USD (I checked, cheapest dessert was a sorbet). Probably one of the most expencive places in town though, but you get it!
Remember, when comparing food prices/cost of living between countries, it is important to also consider stuff like average income. For example, no one is commenting on the Indian street food videos saying "actually, that isn't expensive at all" because they understand that it is, relatively speaking. I know in my field at least (software engineer) people earn wayyyy less in Japan.
Good point. $8 for a parfait may over there may be nearly an hours worth of work for most young people after taxes are taken out, etc, which would be the equivalent for most young Americans spending $15 on a desert. Not completely outrageous, but definitely pricey.
@@xjmmjbnqfstjdijoj2044 You’re right. The minimum wage differs depending on the prefecture and because Tokyo has a higher cost of living, the minimum wage is also higher at, like you said, ¥1,113 which is $7.85. But only 8 out of 47 prefectures have a minimum wage higher than ¥1,000 which is currently $7.05. The rest of the prefectures sit at around ¥900 range which is give or take $6.35 currently. The minimum wage used to be lower, but luckily they recently raised it. But sadly the reason they raised it is because living expenses have gone up significantly. And sadly even if the minimum wage has increased, wages across the country are still largely the same.
Links awakening les gooooo I loved the opening and ending animated cutscenes of that game, I feel something like that would've made more sense than live action for a zelda movie
