I love that Dalena just took upon herself to peel those prawns, def get yourself a girl moment 💕 and Chonny remembering Mang Tomas, which if you're a Filipino is likely on the top three of dipping sauces for anything fried
OmO Dalena literally said that Sinigang goes well with everything and that's exactly what I have been trying to make my friends realize like sinigang is just chef's kiss ^3^
Hi Guys, Enjoyed the vlog. Two things to note, Kare Kare traditionally comes with a side of shrimp paste, phonetically (bug-ga-ong) to add salt and offset the richness, also Sinigang soup is often eaten with rice, either you pour some of the broth over the rice to moisten then eat the protein and veg or you take a bowl of the stuff and put rice into it and eat out of the bowl. Keep up the great work.
Kare kare should be paired with a little shrimp paste with every bite. That's is the only way to enjoy this dish. The shrimp paste will give an ommmp to the dish.
@@Carlie-nf7or Why would you blame them, honestly restaurants should explain how the food should be eaten, specially cuisine which has so many dips and condiments.
Thank you Chonny & Dalena for another great video that you provide us with. I took a little bit of time to get through the last 3 or 4 years videos but I did that and enjoyed them too
When Chonny is a Mang Tomas fan! Someone should send him the “Siga” variant even tho he can’t tolerate too much spicy-ness hahahha I thot Dalena wouldn’t figure the KareKare-Shrimp paste combo, too
This was awesome!! Can’t wait until you go to the Philippines and eat food the way the locals do! Love that you guys aren’t afraid to try different types of food !
For Filipino Family Restaurants, the serving is big because it's meant for sharing like when you're eating with your family 💕 Btw the translation that you needed was "Pwede ba akong makikain sa inyo?" And the fish is pronounced as "ba-ngus" Sending Love from the Philippines 🇵🇭💕
Dalena could easily pass for a Filipina, though she might be missing out on a lot of Filipino food since it's mostly pork-based dishes. How's Chonny's heart, I'm apprehensive at the amount of pork he consumed. 😆
Kudos to you both for you really did eat Filipino food the correct way -- with rice (and with spoon). It gets to me each time I see people eat, say, adobo, on its own and then complain that it's salty or something. Filipino food in general, always need to be accompanied with rice, for balanced flavors.
Sisig must mix before the egg cook on the sizzling plate.. then mix with meyo, soy sauce, calamari (lime) And mix it all together. Kare Kare, must mix with bagoong (marinated fish paste) a very strong flavor
I don’t eat pork but As I was Watching Chonny eat that nice crispy roast pork I was literally shedding a tear cause I to taste it so bad I basically wanted to taste everything lol🥲
First time watching your vidoes (recommended ) and it's amaze me how you review the food and you make us hungry...... new fam here.... Dalena is soo gorgeous and Chonny is soo cute ...you look amazing together
Shrimp paste with kare kare makes every bite soooo goooodddd. Esp bc kare kare's taste is actually light than what it looks like so adding shrimp pqste is wayyyy better ^^
Im a Pinoy, that Crispy pata and Kare kare is my all time fave guys!! Pork is King here in the Philippines! that price of the Sisig is very very expensive, a sisig meal here in the Philippines only costs around P180 pesos. ( around $ 5 AUD)
For lechon, you gotta try Sydney Cebu Lechon next time guys :) It's the Cebu style lechon - crispy skin plus soy sauce vinegar as sides. Pamana's sisig is really good 😋
Its All but with Sauce, Dipping Sauce..etc.. Toyo/Fish Sauce+Calamansi/Vinegar+Sili Labuyo(chili pepper) True Filipino way of Eating.. its all about fusion of flavors in your mouth. Thats how you will appreciate the 🇵🇭 Food. 😅😋❤️
hope you enjoyed Filipino foods...the sour soup is called sinigang and its best paired with rice...the kare-kare should be paired with shrimp paste for best experience...keep safe and enjoy😊😊😊
Hi chonnyday! hope you guys can visit the philippines! There are so many different islands/cities that you can visit, similar to your travels in vietnam. I love that you guys gave filipino food another try :)
Halo-halo in translation to English means mix-mix! Mix the dessert next time and let all of the flavors blend together =) Also you were missing an important condiment that is suppose to compliment the Kare-Kare, it’s called Bagoong, try it with that dish next time!
Omg Chonny 💕and Dalena 💕 exzyour Sydney vlogs have been amazing ..I could watch your videos all day the lechon 🐖 sisig & Adobo looked very yummy ,followed by the sushi 🍣 ..You crack me up & are the best Aussie food vloggers ..x🥰🐖
Hi Dalena and Chonny. I like how the camera got Dalena Chonny in the video together at the end of the video. That pork knuckle crunch though!!! Chonny knows he liked that sa sa sa sour soup!!! Lol!!! Dalena looked like she wanted to peel da shramps in the soup for Chonny. Lol!!! Where da loompia at??? 😆😍🤣😂
There's a recipe for 'knockout knuckle" in a Madhur Jaffrey cookbook. She said in the description that her children declared it the best dish they'd ever tasted.
I forgot for a second that they're in the Southern hemisphere. And was like, man how can they be wearing a sweatshirt and a long coat 🥵 because it's middle of summer up here in the northern hemisphere
must enjoy the sinigang with rice. soo good. for the full experience. have rice on your plate and pour as much or as little soup over it with the meat and veggies 😍
