the fact that you had more of those snacks bc you listened to your body and your mom wasn't around to remind you that listening to mental hunger it's important. this shows t me that you're everyday stronger than your ed , i'm so proud of you💖

Here are some challenges for if you ever run out of ideas to further your recovery 1. Eating Out (You can’t portion size and you don’t know the macros) 2. Instant Meals (Most People who work or have school don’t have enough time to make a nice meal every day so they typically just eat whatever is quicker. Some examples are: Frozen Pizza, Ramen, and Frozen Meals.)

Hi, I’m Flavia and I’m Italian, I’m studying to become a psychiatry rehabilitation specialist and your videos are helping me understand how much anorexia can effect life and is much more than “Just eating”. I just want to tell you that I truly believe that you are so strong, beautiful and brave. Sending love and a big hug from Italy 🇮🇹💓

Thank you flavia ❤ there are not many things worse than when your doctor or nurse or practitioner etc etc clearly has no idea how to speak to people with eating disorders. I feel some people don't take the time to understand because they don't realise the importance of it. Thank you so much again, for taking the time to learn. I am sure you'll be a great specialist ❤❤❤❤❤

I think the tofu would taste better if you drained it! all you have to do is press it between two heavy things and leave it there for 15-20 minutes. it makes it so much more crunchy! it’s so encouraging to see you making so much progress. i’m happy to see you have such a great family that supports you! keep pushing through, you got this.

Yeay!!! Loving this vid. I love love love when you freaking challenge your eating disorder because it's a bit** and you don't deserve it. I know you challenge it constantly but in the videos I'm saying. But yes, I'm sooo happy and proud of you Ro...dang that brekkie as booshi....great, fantastic, perfecto(if there is such a thing). I'm soo glad you did that. You even tried to freaking enjoy that...yeay!!! I thought that the fruity toast would taste like cinnamon raisin bagel🥯👏☕🥣🍫superb. Ooh snack...yeay!!! Chocolate tea cake with a creamy caramely pea(awesome challenge repeat) latte made by Mum aaawww that was sooo cool. Inspiring. It's cute how you say it's sooo lovely too. And that you enjoy the taste. Sooo freeing. No guilt okay!!! No regrets. It's amazing. People all around do have something like this. Yes your normal IS normal nobody is your normal.💞🥊🕊️☕ Omg!!! Kicking ass... chocolate theme soo far....proud proud proud...white chewy homemade bread hell yea.no waste no no no. Only trying you'll actually know. No need to actually complicate eating or food. Daily apple keeps the ED away...lol.🍎 Omg!!! I screamed in excitement when you pushed that thought away in that snack or the veg crispy thingies...aaww aaww lol awesome, soooo flipping inspiring. Loved that move. Reframing there. Lol sooo me...talking a while through...yaaas💞🥊🕊️💪 I just love how you keep refraining the thoughts your having during the meals. And that that that you DO like it that it DOES taste good. Yaaas, wagamama... Challenge repeat challenge repeat...you can do it, you can do anything. You are stronger than you think. Glad you did like those new foods and trying not to use behaviors too. What would be the point of using them?!?! I'm sry too that it cut off. Aaawww...that's okay. Lame though. You are strong still. I believe what you shared. Lovely pudding 🍮 yea I know it's hard. Proud you had it especially cause Mum made it yet again. Yeay!!! Oooh cool chocolate yay pretzels. Chocolate theme for sure I'm soo proud of you. Your soo like me. No worries. I panic loads of time. It was tough, I know it doesn't have to be but it was. Your valid. You deserve life food and the love. Big hugs for you Ro. You are going to get better like you said.🍫🖤🥊🕊️💖🌄👏

A great name for calories is ENERGY POINTS! Elzani (another amazing ED recovery youtuber) calls them this and I love it- it changes the mindset from "budgeting" how many calories you "spend" to making the aim about "scoring" as many energy points as you can! That's the objective, like Mario collecting his coins- the more points, the closer you are to levelling up in the game.

I am in anorexia recovery but recovery, at least for me, is always going to be hard. I have since met my boyfriend who is really weird with food and is really focused on getting as many nutrients and as much energy as possible into his system. Although his obsession with food could've easily had a negative effect on my eating disorder, somehow it really helps me understand that food IS energy and that you get all possible building blocks that you need from food and it really helps.

I’m curious how other people’s relationship with food affects yours. Like for example, when you asked your mom to try something she did without even thinking, this is something I noticed with people who don’t have any kind of disordered eating. When I was fighting to heal my relationship with food, I had to break my fear of just tasting other food without hanging a meal.

A tofu tip: your silken tofu was kinda falling apart when you fried it, silken tofu is better for when you are putting it straight into soup without frying first, hard tofu is the best choice for whenever you want to fry it. I absolutely love your channel! I don't have a diagnosed ed but a personality disorder and your videos taught me that 1. I do have an abnormal relationship with food but I started working with it and 2. The flipping birds towards your anorexia are SO EMPOWERING! It made me understood that I'm NOT my personality disorder, so I became much more aware of my thoughts, started realizing when the thoughts are not mine but my pd's and now I'm able to heal myself better. THANK YOU RO! 🌺✨

I'm honestly so in awe of how you (the anorexic part of you) says something and you (the real you) picks up on it and corrects it and goes against what anorexia wants. You are so so inspiring

Next time you try tofu, press all of the water out of it as much as possible. When frying it, it crisps up and ends up having more flavour and is amazing! 🙂

Due to my cPTSD symptoms, I oftentimes do not eat when I'm hungry - because I think that I don't deserve food, because my obsessive thoughts tell me to restrict in order to feel in control, or as a form of self harm. Watching your videos makes it easier for me to eat. Thank you so much. Also I love your humor

As another CPTSD sufferer with Ed behaviours I can totally relate to this way of thinking... It's very misunderstood in conventional treatment centres and services. I find most /all of my support online.... You can get through this regardless of your past trauma.... You're honestly not alone ❤️

I don't know how I missed this video 10 months ago...but I'm glad I caught it, it was an important one. 1. I love eating cereal with you as I watch 2. When you were eating your candy bar, I thought to myself, I wish I could eat all these yummy things she gets to eat....and then I paused on your caption :) Thank you.

Just wanted to remind anyone who might be experiencing 'extreme hunger': it's normal if your body isn't happy with the amount you used to eat, and wants a bit more until it's satisfied. That sensation is valid, so just listen to it and please don't get angry with yourself 😌

Love you so much Ro, you're so so brave, and the way that you push yourself is such an inspiration. I literally just recovered from anorexia and obviously it was such a rollercoaster, and the breakdowns are honestly the WORST! But you are honestly such an inspiration as you just take every day as it comes and i think you are doing so so well. You have something that i never had at the beginning of recovery which is to continue to push even though you are terrified. I'm sixteen and know that even though you are a tiny bit older it's still just as hard for you as it was for me, but keep going and oh my goodness i would love if you could respond to this, it would make my day. Love you so much and we can push through this. Keep being strong and brave and you WILL beat it! xxxxx

You are inspiring my recovery journey. I am finally seeing why I have been battling it for almost 40 years. It’s been a rollercoaster with my weight going up and down like a damned yo-yo. I have tried to get anorexia completely out of my life for so long. I have come a long way, but it sneaks back in when I am feeling vulnerable or something bad would happen. You are helping me to see why it happens and how to face it. Thank you for your courage to share your journey with us.

❤️❤️❤️ Proud of you for still staying motivated after 40 yrs. I'm 27yrs into an Ed but also pretty much recovered but these videos help with any thoughts of going backwards and keep me motivated even on the bad days. You're right in that under stress or when big things go wrong it tries to creep back in 🙄

@@harmonyhope1709 It’s such a different world now that social media is there to connect people for support. Back in the ‘80s and ‘90s we were on our own for finding support groups. And if you’re an introvert like many of us, it made it nearly impossible to find help. I’m thankful to our brave new generations for breaking through the silence. It will be a wonderful day when EDs are burned away forever by exposing them to the light. Stay on that good and healthy road, friend. 💕
