If you’ve been subscribed to my channel for a while, you know that I absolutely LOVE South Indian food. For this super-sized episode, I teamed up with my boy Carlos from Volpe, Where Are You to eat nothing but South Indian food for 24 hours! Come along with us on our wild, day-long South Indian food adventure!
🧳 VOLPE, WHERE ARE YOU: / @volpewhereareyou
🎥 WATCH: Eating Indian Food for 24 Hours in Miami: • Eating INDIAN FOOD for...
Our entire adventure takes place in the city of Tampa, which is a few hours northwest of our hometown of Miami. Over the course of the day, we’re hitting up three South Indian restaurants to bring you 24 hours of South Indian food goodness!
We started with a late breakfast at Atithi Indian Vegetarian Cuisine. There, we decided on some dosas and idli. They have tons of bottles of Indian beer on the walls, including Power 10,000, which is one of my favorites. They also have wines! Then, we watched them make our plain dosa, paper dosa, uttapam, and Mysore masala dosas in the kitchen.
At our table, we had the Mysore Masala dosa, plain dosa, uttapam, idli, five sambars, and mint-coconut chutney. The plain dosa was thin and crunchy and went perfectly with the minty, tropical mint-coconut chutney.
Then, I jumped on the idli, which is almost like a Venezuelan arepa! The uttapam was super fluffy and filled with tasty vegetables. It was too good! This is my favorite breakfast of all-time!
By the time we finished, we only had 30 minutes until lunch!
We made it to Rasoi Indian Cuisine, where the waitress is from Sivasagar in the state of Assam! We started with some piping hot chai with crumbly Indian biscuits!
In their kitchen, we met the cook, who is from Pune in Maharashtra. They made us some prawns, kebabs, chicken, gobi Manchurian, and more!
The prawns were succulent and tender and smoky from the tandoor. The lamb kebab was also tender and smoky, with a texture reminiscent of beef tartare. I also loved the gobi Manchurian, which was covered in a sweet, sour, and spicy Chinese sauce. The chicken with tamarind chutney was also insanely good, as was the heavenly mint chutney.
Next were 8 more dishes, including shrimp vindaloo, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb chettinad, paneer kadai, goat biryani, garlic naan, rice, chutneys, and more!
The goat biryani with the mint leaves was the best biryani of all time! Next was naan with the creamy butter chicken, the coconutty lamb chettinad, and spicy shrimp!
The paneer kadai was light and gingery with peppers and onions. Then I added rice to the rest of my sauces and ate it before finishing up with some Sula wine!
Two hours later, we headed to Curry Leaves Restaurant, which specializes in food from Kerala! In the kitchen, they made an Alleppey shrimp curry, paneer tikka, parottas, tandoori shrimp, biryani, a masala dosa, onion kulcha, and more!
I loved the the chicken lollipops and sev puri chaat, and the Alleppey shrimp curry with parottas was unreal. They also had a unique coconut chutney, which we had with their meter-long dosa, a mango lassi, and some cottage cheese rolls wrapped with spinach!
The mushroom saag with spinach with parottas was an amazing combination.
The chettinad chicken was full of coconut and curry leaves, while the tandoori paneer, shrimp, and biryani were insanely good. We finished up with sweet, pink jalebi with pistachios on top, and a unique cake with vanilla ice cream sitting in dulce de leche.
What an amazing day of eating south Indian food for 24 hours!

Eating with hands is good for health😊 Normal Flora is bacteria found on the palms and fingers that protects the skin and body from harmful microbes in the environment. Ingesting this helps keep several areas of the body healthy and improve digestion. Eating with the hands can also prevent over-eating.🙏🏻

FYI: Dosas made in actual South Indian Household are the plain Dosas, they are never that thin & wide. The Indian restaurant all over the world made it so to enhance their presentation.

They are not that thin, but they are still made crispy with golden brown on one side. There are other dosas made with green gram, and it tastes awesome. It is light green in color called pesarattu.

Hey David, amazing video! Love dosa, sambar and the coconut chutney. I haven't been to Kerala yet but hopefully will head down South very soon. Loved your Kerala videos too 😀 By the way, Atithi (pronounce: uh-teeh-thee) in Hindi means guest. Can't wait for more Indian food vids. Great seeing Carlos too.

I literally sit down for my meals with both of yours videos, Carlos and David. It makes me feel I am visiting all around with you'all. This video was simply mouth watering! And I guess @Volpe's got a lil healthy. Looking great❤️ :)
