So this is my 5th attempt at uploading this video. In the video i received my Stand Alone wire harness from ebay and I attempt to install it. There were some issues but nothing major so come check it out
They come with a piece of paper telling you what each color wire is. However my fans wires were a different color than what the paper said so i had to trace them back to be sure
@@danielgarza5272 overall it did do a good job despite that one issue. I did have an issue finding the right coolant sensor and just wired in my own connector. Just make sure you order it with the right injector connections for what you have.
Have you started your truck yet? Because the long red wire is for ignition on power for the pcm and fuel pump to get primed up before sending power to the starter. What I have been told any how?
Yea runs great. Let me double check mine but I had two red wires with eyelets that attached to the starter lug that the 12v source goes. That provided power to the ignition relay and the fuse block.
It would be really helpful, if you would do a video on that for me and a lot of other people. I know takes time to do all that tho. But, Did you hook fuel pump up to key on ignition and the red wire to key on ignition?
A local guy told me that you can’t have the fuel pump running continuously? Not sure what to do, I am still in high school trying to do ls swap by my self with the help of RU-vid. And help from good people.
Yea the one supplying 12v will go on the large stud on the bottom. You will see two large studs one of them is connected to the starter directly via a cableand the other requires the solenoid to close.
@@southerngearz thanks for all the help on walking me through this, but I have a more problems. where do I connect the battery positive? Or can I just connect it to the truck factory relay box?
@@southerngearz I have a similar, if not the same, harness as you. From what I can gather, 1 of the wires is for a single wire oil pressure sensor, the other is for a single wire coolant temp sensor. I continuity tested the entire harness myself and those 2 wires do not go anywhere in my harness either. My instructions state "99-02 gage cluster only" for both of those. My guess is they are just terminated inside the loom as to not throw a cluster light possibly?
Yes it matters. If you have green and blue connectors then you have a drive by wire harness. The red and blue connectors are for drive by cable. They should have the correct harness for you. Just check the description
@@KJsGarage thanks guy i think they just used the ends because it was pinned for what i needed. The only connections i had issues with were the o2 sensors and the coolant temp sensor. I just couldnt find the one they wanted me to use so i put different connections on them. Haha problem solved.
@@southerngearz thanks man I think I’m going with one of their harnesses. I was starting to rework my stock hardness and the wires are all brittle and connectors are weak. Good looking out bud.
? I have a 1998 gmc sonoma I'm doing a 350 swap where is a good place to get a wireing harness for under dash and headlights and taillights please let me know some help me
With the 98 you can get a harness made to plug and play basically. Just go to current performance wiring and they can custom build you a harness for what you need. www.currentperformance.com/product-category/custom-direct-fit-harnesses-2/
@@southerngearz thank your for your help sir i call Them and the guy I spoke with the guy at current performance he said he couldn't help me so I'm looking on ebay and Amazon I'm on a tight budget I'm on disability and fixing up a ride for me and my grandson lol trying to

@@southerngearz I bought some front turn signal lenses for my 1979 Ford F-100 that came from them through their online (eBay) retailer, they're a full half inch short in width (left to right measurement), refused my money back, selling the same item with the very same complaint on Amazon... I think they're in Arizona with a poor BBB rating...
