Only today, I have downloaded more than 10 of his songs. I grew up listening to my late father play his songs, though we are Igbos and my father did not even understand Yoruba. But, I understand because I was born here.
I am an Igbo man, I love Chief Ebenezer Obey and Chief Sunny Ade, they are very very outstanding and masters, wish them good health and longevity in the name of Jesus Christ
Taiwo Oduwole Surely u are right. Chief Ezekiel Modupe Gbolade Badero is from Ijebu Igbo in Oke- Agbo, Ogun State. A kind hearted man, loving family man and responsible to the core in his life time. continue to Rest In Peace sir.
"Itelorun ni baba iwa" i.e CONTENTMENT IN LIFE is the highest key point in this evergreen music. Nowadays musician have nothing to offer the young generation. God bless Ebeneezer Obey. You are "GEM"
Fiyin Bodunrin I grew up in a family where obey and, orlando's songs are passionately loved I doubt if there is any of his songs that I don't know. may God bless him.
Every time I listen to Ebenezer Obey, it brings blessed memory of my Dad, (RIP), he used to wake us up back in those days with Commander's songs, as young as I was then, almost 40 years ago, those melodious tunes remained indelible on my memory. And ever since I relocated abroad, and discovered this channel, I play them 90% of my time! Kudos to the best composer of all time! ironically he and my Dad look alike :)
Same here! Blessed memory your dad and my dad too! Eledumare bless the commander for leaving us these evergreen tunes to feed our spirits, even growing up abroad.
How I wish it is possible for EBENEZER OBEY to start his music band afresh, I would like to join him in singing. I love Obey's musics more than any other music produced by any man. Obey is a God-inspired musician, a good music composer and a seasoned music organizer...........How I wish I meet Obey one on one and say "WELDONE" to him.
I like the way Chief Ebenezer Obey started off with this one. If you are a true fan of the musical legend, you have got to give this one also a tick. it is a piece of brilliant ingenuity that is so unique about you and encapsulates your music. Brilliant!
With believe in God he shall bless you more than your imagination and beyond your expectations, This chief Commander album really makes my night more Blessings to your Coast sir...
One of my favourites. Really desire to see you one on one and tell you how specially blessed you are and blessing your songs are to me. People keep remixing and using your songs in parties. If you are gifted, you are gifted.
Very meaningful song. It makes me miss my dad more in Nigeria. Here abroad, I love listening to Chief commander Ebenezer Obey’ songs a lot and king sunny Ade too
I remember vividly in the 80s, each time my dad buys Obey Commander's cassette, his friends would come around listen to it and when they are leaving, they leave with the cassette. We had course to replace quite a lot. May God continue to bless the Legendary Chief Commander.
This track is wonderful. It is always good and rewarding to commit one's ways to Jehovah before venturing into anything worthwhile. No wonder Baba Commander, you are ever relevant in your type of music. Ride on for ever! We love you. Mike Atoyebi. Maryland.
I am so excited today for coming in contact with this track. since I left Nigeria, I have missed this song so much, God bless you for uploading this song.
