On the wall of our room; at the edge of the leg-side of my bed is the blue painted cassette wardrobe made by my Dad filled with Ebenezer Obey's music, Sunny Ade's and Bola Are's . What a memory of such a good time ! Dad, this listening is a dedication of your mentoring, which has greatly moulded me into all I have grown to be. Rest in peace, Dad !
Finally.. Been looking for this oldies like forever.. It’s 2024 and I’m still craving more.. God bless my late dad’s memory.. thank you for introducing this masterpiece to us as kids❤
This song is just a pointer to parents being cautious of what their kids listen to because it'll definitely form a huge part of them in life. As a kid, my dad plays Ebenezer Obey, KSA with a couple other prominent highlife musicians every morning and these songs have become a part of me this while. I'm all-grown and I just can't stop listening to his songs. Obey songs have been very influential on my life. Pls parents don't be selfish. Listen to music with good lyrical and visual contents not just for ur pleasure but also for ur wards.
This is on point. Some of Chief Ebenezer's songs are my watch words after the Bible. At some lowest point in my life, I will remember- "ko si wun borun lemu to, soman dudu die yo wa, ko si wun kaye wa layo o, yo la koko ekun re". This is profound wisdom!
U just nailed it. I grew up listening to dis man and messages in his songs are part of what shaped me till date. Till date I still jamz obey’s music in my home, my car etc. Me and wifey aren’t even Yoruba but my wife too got influenced by me listening and enjoy ebenezerbibey songs
I can never forget long road trips with my late dad in those days 😢. Obey albums on repeat, with serious lessons in the songs. Thank you Dad for shaping me to be the man I am today. #EvergreenMemories. Rest in Peace Dad 😢. I love you so much
Honestly speaking my brother. Nigeria was great and okay back then. Our national currency Naira was very strong then, stronger than American Dollars. Not the useless and hopeless Nigeria of today.
Just got listening to these evergreen lyrics today & I've been recycling it over for the whole day. Thoughtful contents and wisdom laden lyrics for all generations! My, we've truly lost heritages to bad civilizations.
My favorite childhood song! Proudly Omo Fidipotemole of Ijebu Ode❤. I Used to sing this song to an Uncle Adesanya Adebowale ( Adebowale Electronics younger brother son), the bros would dash me paper 50kobo then😅
Jo o Adesanya jo, oko Abah ma yo.... I just love this track and certainly Chief Commander music. E pe fun wa Sir. God bless you for uploading this joy.
Awesome memories! As a kid over 30 years ago, my uncle had an electronics services and sales shop Ans these songs would play over and over. Thanks for posting.
Abeg someone should help with the name of the Album "Leke leke baami leke o, ayanfe. eye adaba baami leke o ayanfe". I'll appreciate thanks. The track I have skips repeatedly and I'm not enjoying. Thanks
