What are the difficulties in organizing such an event? Just in case I wanted to do one. Do you give a designated route and stops prior to the ride? Do you have a speed limit for everyone?
I try to scout the route first and plan a stop or two. Never set any speed limits but everyone just seems to follow the leader at the same pace. Sometimes we may get spread out so will slow down to let the rest catch up.
I managed to ride with the 66cc bicycle group a decade or so ago. It was alot of fun. Ebikes would be even better. Is this still a thing? :) Going to look now.
Yes, the Henry Hudson trail. Start in Aberdeen NJ and ride down to the Highlands, ride along the water and then over the bridge into Sandy Hook. On a clear day you could NYC skyline. It’s an awesome ride
I bought two of the large black and red totes with the wheels on the bottom and dremeled out the center of the lid. so it left the red rim of the plastic lid on top. drilled a few holes and put zip ties around the outer perimeter did this for extra strength. now I can put my 2.0 in the bucket and it has a handle which makes it easier to wheel them around from the garage to the car. after cutting the lid out I put it in the bottom of the crate and use it for extra strength in the bottom of the crate. works like a champ.
