The ecotric Hammer bike has suspension. You got the best to love all the hammer... LOL how does that little star thing in the middle hold the handlebars on safely? That was the issue with my bike I had to put it down in there further because it was too high and the front end was loose at the headstock. I really would like to know how to bleed the hydraulic brakes. I think you would like that hammer bike
I was extremely happy with the fast shipping of the tubes I must be prepared for my very long trip. I wonder on a very long trip what is the first thing to go if something does go?
Thank you for the videos I really appreciate them. I wonder if that nice front fork would fit my hammer bike and are they really expensive? I was looking for brake pads. It's really hard to find the ones for my bike. They are the metallic tektro brake pads that have one thing coming out of the Middle with a little hole on top. I looked on your website. Will the price of bike tires be going sky-high when the car tires go up?

This makes clear that just because we want to do something to ebikes doesn’t me we can. Once you start unscrewing stuff it’s a whole different ball game. This isn’t just with cheap stuff the expensive stuff too (proprietary)! You don’t know till you know! Your channel is go to for all this stuff. The channel is essentially an education channel. My thanks to Kyle and Glenn. The video today felt like it was directed just to me. It explained the BlackBird suspension fork well. DNM USD6. All my confusions have been cleared up.
I don't have all my parts yet but I have already figured out what you found out today on Lectric XP. I am going to install a 20x4 suspension fork with a new headset along with a bmx riser type handlebar using a thread less setup. Going to kick the height of the handlebar up with a steerer tube extension. Thread less is the only way to go.
That is exactly what I am going to do to install a suspension fork on my XP. Threadless is simpler and easier to adjust. I ordered the fork from AliExpress (China) and it is taking forever to get here.
@@scoop4321 Yeah I ordered a fork on 4/7/21. They said it would arrive on 4/27/21 but its looking more 5/26/21. Its been sitting in a airline holding area for a while now.
I’m not sure how to do it and still keep the folding stem because it has a quill. Maybe finding a threaded fork would work. I have a threadless fork and changed to bmx handlebars so it required this threadless headset: Dilwe Bicycle Headset Aluminium Alloy Bike Front Fork Stem Headset Replacement Bike Accessory I don’t think I can post the link but search that on Amazon.
You could order a threadless folding stem, similar to the stock Lectric set up from AliExpress. It may not arrive for awhile, however. They do have them.
Since the fork won't go in front, can you just put in back? Just kidding! Threaded forks were the norm years ago, but we're glad you took the dive to find out about the XP setup 😉 I already have a suspension fork on my RadMini, and it's ok with preload and lockout. But, I'd like to upgrade to a really nice and smooth one. Any recommendations?
I tested a 2nd hand Rad Mini (2019) a couple of days ago. I am considering this instead of the new Rad Expand 5 for that very feature. The handlebar reach is bit much for me. I'm 5' 1" so still trying to see if a mini or a lectric 3.0 premium will work. Also, considering Vitilan U7 (hydraulic brakes, front suspension) but recommended for 5' 2". How is your mini on hills?
I bought your Bolton fork last year during your sale for my Foxbat, installed my self with just a starnut kit, easy peezy! Great upgrade! Now how do I repurpose an RST shock? 🤷♂️🤣
Best PSI? The DNM USD6 manufacture information I could find. Very little info out there by the way. The MFG says 60-90 psi. Other sources say 150 psi. That is a big difference. My local bike shop would not give advice. They said "we will set it where you want it for free - - - -easy to do - - - but we will not give you a number". Mine when received was about 85 psi.
I have a Heybike Sola. Nice, less than $1,000. And Torque assist + a throttle. Love it. BUT no suspension and if rides like a brick! I tried a suspension fork and also ran into a dead-end. The stock fork stem is nearly 13 inches long! From bottom of the steering head to the top measures 9.25" or 235mm. All the suspension forks have a stem which is only 220mm, which means the steering tube does not even reach the top of the frame tube. So there is no way to attach the fork to the bike. I have seen "extenders", but they use a quill system to attach the stem to the bike, and I am not sure that is safe. Any ideas?
that head bolt is a common design for department store and cheap bikes from the 70s to 90s it is new to ebikes. so it looks like maybe that is how to be off the shelf and proprietary at the same time. for example the bafang spanner used by the bbshd the one end is an old school bottom bracket spanner and has been replaced with newer design that is used by sram and shimano so bafang used the old design and calls it proprietary so anyone with tools from the 70s and 80s should be able to install a bbshd.
I'm brainstorming to get myself an EBike. I need help 🆘. I'm looking for something that ships to cad , that is lightweight, with a mid-drive 1000w and then the rest I don't really mind. I've seen some brand that you never mentioned like the Sheng Milo on Amazon. It looks ok but I'm scared to buy it. The Lectric, Friend, and the Synergy Kahuna are all the same in my opinion and I seem to want that type of model but I wasn't able to find something with the torque I want. My other choice would be the 2021 Eunorau 1000e fat-hd mid drive. But it will be a pain to get the thing up 3 stories Everytime. Any suggestions?

I've got both of these bikes. They are the weirdest bikes to work on. Who uses a 7mm Allen. Everything has to be re-engineered. Not to mention they took my money promising shipping in 2 weeks. 3 months later...
It's a great budget bike. Folds up and fits in my tiny car. I take mine everywhere 1500 miles still going strong. Plenty of video on upgrades if u want to do things. I just lower my tire pressure and it's fine on fire trails.
I’ve seen other videos where they do it it’s not a big deal.You cut the pipe down to length and then get it threaded at a local machine shop not that big a deal

Yes you need a thread less stem maybe a steerer tube extension if you want the handle bar higher. Plus handlebar that will fit the stem. Don't really like the folding type of handlebar that came with the Lectric (too high) so my new setup will be different from the original bike setup. A lot people are doing the same setup.
Kyle, can you confirm if your Bolton fat bike suspension fork does or doesn't have a rebound adjustment. I keep getting mixed answers from others and the site doesn't say it has one, nor do I see one. Tx
Some of us don't look at it as work. Some of us like working with our hands and accomplishing things ourselves. And some would rather pay someone else to do it or buy something else. 🤷🏻♂️
@@Area13ebikes Thanks for this comment. If only the best PROs can do it why even talk about it here. So far BOLTON has been for the 99% not the 1%. Keep it up. I personally am still going thru the growing and learning pains of my BlackBird. But loving it too. Gotta get a fork pump today.
