HIGO connectors...geez! I knew it and drew a total blank! 1. I bought one KO Moto Pro controller from EBMX. 2. I bought one EBMX X-9000 controller from EBMX. 3. I bought one ASI BAC8000 controller from EBMX. 4. EBMX lent me for tear downs 1 complete X-9000 controller without cables or potting. 5. EBMX lent me for tear downs 1 power stage inside am X-9000 shell. 6. EBMX gave me a BAC8000 for tear down. It was expected that it would not work again. 7. Items 4 and 5 have been shipped back to EBMX about a month ago since they were lent to me. 8. The KO Moto Pro controller I bought has been featured in quite a few videos. 9. The X-9000 controller I bought has been featured in at least 2 videos. 10. The loaner hardware from EBMX has been featured in several videos. 11. The BAC8000 I was given by EBMX has been used in several tear down videos. 12. I don't work for EBMX. 13. I don't get paid by EBMX. 14. I'm NOT Matt Wauters. 15. >The first cable you put together with the loose ends is for the DCDC converter in the controller, to power the 4 programmable outputs. This is kept separate to the comms cable that issued for all other comms, hall sensors, encoders and so on. The DCDC outputs are all programmable in the EBMX app. One is set up for a coolant pump and has settings for it to turn on at set motor temps (adjustable) and all of the other outputs can be used as you see fit (12v 5A in total across the channels). >The 4:1 connector has 2 x inputs (the "mistery" ones) that are for after market brake sensors when using brakes such as Magura. The larger twist on comms cable already has the brake sensors built into it for the stock SurRon and Talaria bikes.
Hello. The other day I bought the same controller for my custom project. The question arose, how to connect cruise and reverse? Is it possible to do this and how? Thanks for your video.😊
@@tr1pppy397 Lots of people reach out to me for tech support. I don't get paid by anyone including EBMX. I'd spend all my time supporting products for free if I started answering questions like this.
Wow. First look is very solid. Speaks for itself. I know where I’d put my $1000+ for sure. Only thing is the thumb throttle. Not useful on a sur ron application.
Yeah, this is a really nice bit of kit. I'm pleased with the level of detail they went to and got to this state. Why people would hate on this is a total mystery to me!
I’ve been lucky enough to ride a bike with the X-9000 and it had the regen thumb throttle installed. I really liked having the option of using regen brakes. It felt great 🤌
The thumb throttle is an additional part to the kit to be used as a variable regen brake (or secondary acceleration throttle - if you want left hand throttle or damage you twist throttle). Wiring is all set up for the stock throttles for SurRon and Talaria or can use inputs from other conversion builds as well with an adapter harness. All functions of the thumb throttle can be adjusted in the app.
@@nelsonn3042 I was wondering about that. My assumption since this is VESC that it existed, just don't know where the connection is....yet. I LOVE variable regen!
