This channel will do tear downs. And on that note, when I get to the new shop, there is TONS of stuff waiting for me to take apart and show off! People have been asking me for almost a year for SHUL tear downs. They have been asking more recently for Sotion motors. I've got those waiting for me there. I've got some of the new Far Driver controllers there with the blue top on them. This is some kind of new design that is not like they have done previously. There's a dozen other things waiting for me there too. I'll be building a dyno soon. Motor and controller dyno tests will come to this channel. This channel is far from going away!
ARE you wanting this for some project? QS uses both sine/cos or hall position encoding on their motors. It jsut depends on which option is in your motor. I don't know this as fact, but I think depending on which version of Votol controller you get, they support one or the other type of position detection.
@@de-bodgery the motor we run has a hall sensor.. In my opinion 60 degrees is not enough.. we have had cut off issues since day one.. we race motocross .. .. if he is using the rear brake to turn or control the motorcycle (mainly corners and whoop sections) we have cut off issues ... I think the motor gets confused where the rear wheel is & cuts off.. I feel an encoder would remedy the problem.. 3shul makes an encoder for the QS motor (138 H70 V3) but I was told it wouldn't work with a Votol controller..
@@de-bodgery with this stuff its ALWAYS a maybe..in my few yrs of experience with this stuff nobody really knows much.. nobody talks about it with conviction.. its all pretty new.. IC have been around for 200 yrs... I have not tried another controller.. I really like the Voltol
@@ardenbriggs1190 I'd try another controller. Do yo have an oscilloscope? You might want to look at your hall signals. If they are very noisy, you will get issues like this.
@@nicod974 You have to reveal it. Do you see my facebook link? It shows right next to that "1 more link". A new window opens and then there is View email address in the lsit in the window.
@@nicod974 There is...I see it right now. I go to my channel home page, Right at the top is "and 1 more link" and then in channel details is the email.
