I bought a kit of RAM ECC memories, but it doesn't recognize in two slots on my motherboard (Motherboard which is NON-ECC Unbuffered), the fact that the memory is ECC and the NON-ECC board can affect if there is no video or not recognize the memories in the first two slots? It only gives video in Slost B1 and B2, the one indicated by the manufacturer is A2 and B2, and it does not recognize the memories in slots A1 and A2. (XPG LANCER RGB DDR5 DRAM 32GB 2x16GB 5200MHz CL38 Black Heatsink 2PK RAM Upgrade) Motherboard Z690 AORUS ULTRA

Hey Antoniel, Sorry I didn't get back to you before! I hope you could sort it out. It is weird that it affects the video. if there is a problem with the memory ram or any incompatibility the PC won't get to window home. Have you checked the Memory support List? I can read on the website that the ECC will work as NON-ECC. So maybe is not compatible with your motherboard, and that's the issue. More the ECC non ECC buffered and unbuffered memory, if you run on an i5 more then 3000 it will use the max the motherbored supports

Yes, remember the maximum speed is the lowest speed of the components, I mean with that if for example the CPU or the motherboard as you mentioned the maximum speed is 3000 MHz and you install a higher memory ram speed, the fastest speed it will be 3000 MHz. It is the bottleneck.

I’ve two RAM each of DDR3 1600mhz 8GB and my motherboard has two slots A1&B1.. when i fill them into motherboard the computer wont boot.. but when i fill one of them into A1 its boot correctly.. but together wont boot.. why ?

It Could be different things. I guess the memory rams are the same model and brand. 1. Make sure the motherboard specifications and if it is compatibility with the speed, capacity and model of the memory Rams. 2. Try one ram into A1 and leaiving B1 empty. Then try into B1 and A1 empty to make sure the slot is not damaged. 3. Try one ram in A1 and then try the other one in A1 to make sure the memory ram is not damage.

JDaniel Vzla i tried everything that you have mentioned in your comment but no avail. The two slots are working. And the two memories are the same brand and model. And my motherboard is support dual channel and DDR3 1600mhz

Check the motherboard's capacity if it is up to 16GB memory ram or not. It is the other thing I am thinking it could be.

I don't have to much experience with games, but I believe for gaming you don't need a ECC memory ram this is more for data, bank and counting systems where the information has to be more precise. And the ECC will be a bit slower than non ECC and in gaming you want things fast. Remember to verify your motherboard specification for the capacity, speed and type of memory ram you can use. 2 ram modules works, 4 do not works can you please help. all my slots are working fine and my rams are also good. the problem is when im using 4 slots it wont boot properly and if i use only it works fine. did you encounter this problem alreay? can you help me ty

Are all the same rams specs? Does the ram match with the maximum capacity (gb) of the motherboard?

@@JDanielVzla yes same specs but different brand 2 hyperx fury 8gb 3200mhz and 2 avexir 8 gb 3200 mhz. my motherboard is aorus z370 ultra gaming wifi. i dont know why when im putting 4 it wont work. did you encounter this kind of problem? hope you can help me ty

It could be, I haven't experienced this issue before. have you try using only two but one of each brand? so we could know if it is the latency you are mentioning about.
