I wish they added 3 things really... -a life straw -a folding saw -a fixed blade (bk2) That would have been really nice but it's a decent starter kit. Nice video!

Been using my Condor backpack for years as a cyclist. I use it for picking up groceries to hardware supplies. Still in perfect shape. Summer/winter cycling in Canada, 71 years old, decent bags.

For someone who just can't or refuses to build their own, this is a better than average pre-made kit, albeit at a premium price. Some upgrades are advised (even to the "upgrades") but it's serviceable. Adam, you're doing a good service by bringing this kit to the attention of the pitiful souls who are not d.i.y.'ers.

I'm actually rather impressed with this. Seems like a rather solid pre-fab kit. Of course I'd butcher it if I got one lol All in all though it looks like a great piece of gear. Would make an excellent christmas gift for a younger family member who doesn't really have much of a kit of their own. Cheers!

The Goggles & Mask - what a great idea! That is why we watch these things is to see something and add it. FYI- Being from Calif I know that earthquakes are good for stirring up lots of dust and debris. I'm adding those today. Thanks.

Great review! Your reviews area a nice change to see from most of those that are, with much dedication, created just to show off "what I pack just in case all hell breaks loose in the next 15 minutes", "how many knives can I stuff in my EDC, BOB or GHB" or "how much expensive gear can I buy". Don't forget , hand-warmers are great fire starters , good burn time . The tent is better if you seal off one end and use it as a bivy with the mylar blanket or a wool blanket . This is not a bad kit and for a few bucks would make a fine day pack . A canteen , stove , just to name a few .

Nice pack for the money. Only 2 major things I think I would add right off the bat. 1) is a water filter, like you said, to fill up the water hydration system . 2} is bug spray. right now in the summer months i think that would be my first item I would put in. also maybe some suntan lotion.

Just throwing this out there but you mentioned that kit being $250. I believe its closer to $350 equipped with the sog, gerber mini, and the fennix. Double check me though. PS after watching this I put my own together. Good foundation.

Great starter! Although I'd do away with the water and use a camelback to add room for clothes, a good knife (SOG Trident?), Compact 9mm with extra rounds and maybe an MRE. ..... just because you never know when or where you'll need you kit. I don't always concealed. Great review brochacho!

Just a heads-up, beware of the cheap Chinese made magnesium fire starters. Most of them do not produce magnesium shavings that burn. They are reduced to only their fire steel in terms of effectiveness. The American made Doan brand is the best hands down. The magnesium actually ignites with the Doan.

Good video: The one thing I take issue with is that "Food" bar. It's nothing but sugar=EMPTY CALORIES! Use the extra space you gain by LOSING the food bar, and replace it with MRE's! I think a second space blanket would be a good idea.

Lighter probably wasn't filled due to shipping restrictions. Doubt it has any approval thats been certified to hold the liquid and fumes. Only thing that sucks about these kits is they have way more cheap chinese made products that outweigh the price they ask. They are making some good profit on what it actually costs for what you get.

thats fairly decent... i honestly wouldnt use it personaly, as i have my own kit set up, but for beginers, thats brilliant.. plus the sog mt, thats a good start out kit. as said does need personalisation for your enviroment,..

I’ve made 3 identical bags and each was probably over 1000 and it’s not to deter anyone and I am by no means wealthy or rich I prioritized my finances to get them how I like them so I can help my other family members navigate their bags and communicate what’s what and I only say that bc for $200 is about the cost of one of the fixed blades multi tool and flashlight of a high quality already around This price... therefore if you want to get something to start get a pre made bag and add better quality gear as you come across finances... overall pretty good kit here for the price, but some things I would suggest adding when you can and upgrading others when you can.... to be fair the 3 i spoke about are more long term not 72 hour bags you can get by for much less for a 72 hour kit think of the 10 Cs of survivability by Dave Canterbury and then add maps and coms and firearms sharpening gear and oil for maintenance etc as you desire... looks like a decent made pre made bag they are usually junk to be frank but for a get out of dodge to get home it seems like it’s got a decent batch of gear canteen water. Filter knife fire kit and shelter are the bare minimum you want to be able to trust your life to so buy once cry once

Great video, I've been checking out the website and it gives you the option to add other options for food, water, a blades, etc. I like this video although I have already set up a bugout bag, a camping bag, and a separate get home bag. I wish I would of know about this earlier it would have saved me some money. It is perfect for a starter that can be improved upon by upgrading the base set up. I sent the link to my cousin who is looking for a per made bag to start with.

it's still a very nice bag though. the thing is, over here, when you carry such an item, your so-called mates tend to take the piss out of you and you do get ostracised as either being weird, sad, or both. But when you have something during SHTF and they don't, they always sing a different tune..

When using a get home bag, would you duplicate the contents that are also used in a home bug-out-bag (so the bug-out-bag is stocked and ready to go) ... or would you plan on transferring the items from the get home bag into the bug-out bag if there was an emergency? Thanks!

Is the bag water proof? And I'm looking for a long term survival solution, probably months. If I added a water filter, some traps and a fishing kit, would I survive very long? I have all the knowledge required to survive in my area but I need a good kit.
