This is one of the most brilliant descriptions of the mechanisms of the ego. Just listening..and become enlightened….almost … sooner or later …. Thank you very much Eckart, for never stopping to try to explain something which is almost impossible to describe in Words.
Elkhart once said being. Is felt , Not a thought once you learn that then you know and to do that is to Step back from thought which is the form of ego and just observe it for what it is and with stillness !
Thank you Tami and Eckhart...I especially liked learning that when the ego is easily frustrated during an 'enjoyable' project, it's a sign that I am not present, so I can hopefully become aware of this in that moment and become more present and enjoy the project, looking at it from a different point of view...or put the project aside for awhile.
The ego is usually hostile and afraid it’s going to die. Beautiful what I heard previously that when it’s there you can notice the space around it, the peace: stillness.
Thank you guys!!! I get down/angry at times that my flow gets interrupted by my ego's need to PROVE itself. I have overcome most of my more intense moments of suffering and now I understand my triggers and ways to calm them. I deeply appreciate these moments of guidance, Eckhart is such a great teacher!!! I have a burning question about conscious manifestation. I truly enjoy my profession as an architect and I’ve always say that architecture called me. I say so because in the process of designing and creating I really feel I that I transcend my personal self and something else comes through. I have also advice many that the choice or calling of such a profession can be enjoyed only the the process, not as a means to an end. I see architecture as one of the main solution to many problems in our society and even as an entity that could address global warming. After all we interact with buildings everyday all day long and it is so often overlooked. Building interact with us is in a way that many have not understood. It can enhance healing, learning creating and even self discovery. My sole purpose is to inculcate such qualities in every building and co- create such that architecture becomes a medium that unites man with is environment. I am not such much concerned about myself per say in this but more about the life that that which is created takes and how it impacts on people. The question is why am I facing so many challenges realizing that which I see so clearly would be beneficial to the community, and even the world at large for the sake of humanity and our planet
What's the quality of your doing or interactions in the present moment? When you're aware of the existence of ego, then you can observe yourself in the moment. Then in the moment ego loses its grip over you. Thanks Eckhart 😂🗼⛩🎯🍮🍭🍰

Observe where your state of consciousness is frequently. If you encounter obstacles, do you become frustrated quickly? That's the ego. If you look at obstacles with alertness and stillness, your consciousness doesn't see them as enemies. Your ego loves enemies. Another sign is that do you enjoy the activities and process? I think it‘s a bit funny people expect him to look great for his age all the time. Does his teaching imply anything about the body becoming independent of age or other restrictions? I don’t think so. I guess he simply gets no makeup when he‘s not on stage, and more realistic lighting. He‘s also allowed to have a cold or other issues in winter. Why expect anything miraculous about his body??

Seems like mind has come from the back door to ask the question how to consiously manifest what we want or what we don't have ...to feel better then what present moment is offering....hence lol
If i am manifesting something for myself than what is wrong in that ? Why he sees as ego ?. If i don't have food, cloth or home...than i want to manifest this for myself and my family....why it is considered as bad or ego. ?
It is not the normal meaning of ego. He is talking about a different ego here. It is perfectly fine if you want to manifest something you need. The ego he talks about here is something different. It is a false sense of self which everybody creates...This ego is a bundle of thoughts you have about yourself. What your parents named you, what school, career you have, how society views you...this is who we think we are and we think from this place. But the real you is deeper inside yourself which feels emotions. And even deeper inside, is your self which sees these emotions..the deeper you go inside yourself, the more you connect with a purer part of yourself which is unspoiled by the world. If you manifest from here...the purer part of yourself...you will effortlessly manifest only those things/situations that are for the greatest benefit of yourself and all your loved ones. Peace and blessings my friend.
To be able to manifest for yourself be grateful for what you already have ! And it must be sincere ! You know when it is your ego controlling you when you are not satisfied with what is or even when you get what you want you are still not satisfied, still want more and more ! If you want a car, set your intention in the present moment and let go. Don’t be needy and be ok with your current situation without changing or forcing anything.
I love and have a deep respect for Eckhart - but this " conscious manifestation " thing is somehow not in line with his teaching of presence...it is such a cheap new age thing ...Eckhart is normally very clear and to the point...here he seems off track , unfocused and yes...deeply unwell...sad to see...

Conscious is one thing, Manifestation ANOTHER, you can say what ever you want but he said just the true and I was wondering about how all works and he just connected me to what I saw already, I was just not sure. Long story short, We all have to work on rise Consciousness and let the energy flow true Us and be present and realize the patterns of our Ego. When you will master or realize the energy of the Consciousness and let it flow true you, the energy of the universe will align with you in your journey and in what you do, only then you will see how the things are going in the right places almost without any force. Your ego or unconscious people will call it Coincidence, but is NOT!
I have great respect for him. But i don't understand one thing. Is it bad to have some ego ??.. I want money, car, house. Is it sinful to have dream of such things. What is wrong in being materialistic ? Whenever i hear him of become ego free. I feel terrible and guilty..he is telling me to don't have money , car, house. because according to him, it is part of suffering and ego. But, i want to have money, car and house for my family. What is wrong in having such kind of ego ?. Echart Tolle has everything. He has money, fame, house , and great wife. That's why he doesn't need ego to satisfy his needs. It is very easy to sit down and say beautiful words. Very hard to go out and earn money for family. ( still i respect him ) I don't want to become enlightenment and ego free.. if it is wrong to satisfy our needs. Please someone explain. Please clarify me.
You obviously don't know Eckarts life story. He had a difficult youth, times when he was out of money and he was also depressive. In his worst time he had his moment of elightenment and after that slowly came success. His ego dissolved and he started to be fulfilled out of the awareness that he is one with everything. He knows what he is talking about. If you just start a spiritual life to become sucessful you should stop seeking a spiritual path. If you realize truth, things fall into place by themselves. If you are awakend you know that what you need is already coming to you if you stay free from fear. If you start with being grateful for what you have, things will come to you even more . If you think you are poor, you will manifest just this belief! The ego tells you that you don't have enough; if you don't understand this logic better start with reading "The power of now" Bless you
Maybe listen to Abraham (Ester Hicks) and the law of attraction. Great spiritual teacher. I love any spiritual teacher who says it's great to love money. Too many spiritual people misinterpret the ego. Ego is not the enemy. It all comes down to listening to the heart. Then ego functions in service of the heart. Nothing is wrong. Just love yourself. You're wonderful, wards and all 💕 God wants you to hv everything you want and love. The more you have the more you can share!
GAURAV PATEL I just watched the video and I did not hear him suggest it is wrong or sinful to have a house and a car. He says to live in the present. So enjoy your house and car or enjoy your journey to acquire them but dont just keep thinking about how someday you will be happy when you acquire this, that or the other.
