I ADORE these styles. It shows great creativity !!! Minimalism for me is for people without sentiment or creativity. Sorry,but that's how I feel. I love anything old,it tells a story. Anyone can go into a shop and buy what hundreds of other people will have. I love flea Market finds. They are unique and always a talking point. I also love the fact that wherever people look in my home they will find something interesting to look at . But hey,each to his own.

I'm all about this style. I love the libraries, the wallpapers, the textiles, patterns, colors. I'm actually creating this type of space now. I know it's not for everyone, and I won't care if people appreciate it or not. I used to be the farmhouse neutral, so I understand why the neutral palette is so appealing.

Eclectic maximalism is my jam. Over half of my furniture is discarded stuff I found on the sidewalks on my street and neighborhood. I'm so impressed with my design genius tbh.

Oh yes, more is more! I love colors. I am in the process of designing my apartment. It's so exciting! The main question is always if that color, piece of furniture,wallpaper brings me joy and makes me happy. I always tend to go over the top in projecting stage. Some things are found not usefull or loved any more and won't make it. The result will be calmer and perfect. Still wild! Lol Many real plants will be there. Love that "projecting and planning" stage and can't wait for result!

Wow I love this! Having worked for years in the 'condo' industry, every single person's home looks like cookie cutter bore. One 'vase' stainless steel appliances, everyone owns Ikea.....it's all the same old disinteresting homes....the interiors are stark whites, greys and if you're lucky maybe someone used a tinge of black. My home is chaotic, and all of my eclectic dreams and Maximalist dreams are sadly at this time 'in a bunch of boxes'....we're in an apt, saving to move up north out of the city and I could do oh so much in my home now but feel it's a waste of my time as I don't feel settled. I'm open to suggestions and comments I'm sort of stuck in a decorator's rut. This is an amazing video, I love it all! I LOVE these. I would say my style is not so much maximalism, as it is colorful bohemian. I don't like clutter so I wouldn't have things all over the floors. I need a clear path. Murals on walls, color everywhere, plenty of wall art and loads of plants, Yes!

I actually like the Eclectic Maximalist decor. At 5:59 where you have the room with the BIG FLOWERS ON WALL PAPER with a green sofa and orange chair I thought was absolutely beautiful!!! That wall paper made it all soo together for me. The florals, patterns of them, and the colors of these flowers made it like a giant mural. You see the large first and then notice small details, such as the zebra vase on the table, or the elephant sitting by the chair on the floor, and the toucan with the colored beak. This room is georgeous to me. I love it!

My absolute favorite style is MCM but because you have to keep it all in that style with clean lines, I opted for boho in my present home. Like you, I do love the modern green sofas and love how well they just fit into almost any room! I am finding my guests are loving all the different pieces of artwork and objects on the walls....it gives them plenty to look at and talk about!! Love your videos as they remind me that I made the right choice!!

I love the room with all the different colored vases on mirrored wall! I have a family room that has my paintings and various other pictures from 3/4’s down the wall up to the ceiling! I LOVE all decor!!

I am in the process of finally decorating my place. This time my basic theme is bringing Paris home to me. I love these examples. I plan to decorate on an evolutionary basis. I have a lot of elements l plan to use. Some will make the cut. Some will not. If the end result is anywhere as stunning as these spaces are, l will be thrilled.

I love this style! I didn't know there were other people like me! My hubby hates it: so I only have my powder room and art studio this way! I will be doing further research on this style to bring in elements to my other spaces!

So many beautiful rooms, it's hard to pick a favorite. 2:48, 4:19 really caught my eye. Loved the floral mural at 5:43 and the wallpaper in 6:15. I'm definitely with you on the green velvet sofa and dark walls of 6:50. The more I see orange in these vibrant combinations, the more inspired I am to include it in my decor. Points of reference: The lush malachite infused living room you showed twice is by the late Tony Duquette, who is widely known as the King of Maximalism. If that sort of high style interests you, you can Google his work and revel is all of the images people have posted. If I'm not mistaken, Duquette is the man who first uttered the phrase "More is more," which certainly defines the maximalist mindset. (Malachite was his most recognized design signature.) The blue and white "Chinoiserie" jars you referenced are Chinese and were first made popular as imports in refined French and English homes in the late 18th and 19th centuries. They were typically made of porcelain and were hand painted, and they can be quite expensive in fine antique stores. They have never gone out of fashion, and are now a classic staple in traditional design. Nice ceramic reproductions can be found at very affordable prices in big box retailers like Home Goods. They look great massed-out on a large sofa table or dining room sideboard, and are often converted into lamps or used as planters.

Bohemian is pretty much eclectic with maximalism as well.

I prob fit in to eclectic but most of the maximalist to me are way to much even though i love having my room full of art.. I find Maximalism to make me a bit anxious .. Infact i have wondered how do people really live in these moody, maximalist and dark academia over long periods of time? Do they notice changes in mood, energy, activity? I wonder because i have found over the years of design that color can have a direct impact on my mood over longer periods of time.. Such as the wrong shade of grey can have you feeling very grey... and tomuch blue can have you feeling very blue.. Ect. just thoughts.
