I saw a video once where they put the flowers and fabric on cardboard with cardboard on top and beat it with a hammer. All the colors of the petals were smashed into the fabric and stained it really well. It looked like impressionist art. I will try this sometime. I thought you might like to give it a try. Dale, In a previous video you showed a yellow sweater your Mother made for you, and said you’d like to find the pattern. Well, I can’t find that video again for a true comparison, but I saw one on Ravelry that might be close. Please look at Beatrix Cardigan by Gregoria Fibers. Close?
Oh that one is lovely. Actually while I have been recovering I have been going through my Mother’s pattern books and I found the pattern. It is in The Bernal Book of Irish Knits and is 537-145 in that book. I have read the pattern through quite a few times and I don’t think I could do it. It’s way beyond me. Also the pattern sizes are not large enough for me, and although I have been watching videos on how to enlarge a patter, that too is beyond me, especially in a pattern that has so many different stitches. What I thought I might do is make some pattern swatches and practice doing the patterns first. I might reach out for help in a video. And do you know what? I have the book in hand to get the name to write you, and I looked at the picture for the pattern, and the looked at the picture of my sweater, and realized that she changed one part of the fronts and probably the backs as well. She actually replaced it with a section of diamonds from one of the child sized patterns in the same book. That is way beyond me!😩

I would guess someone savvy on using Ravelry could find an adult neat-equivalent with your size! Can you please tell me which video you showed it to us? I’d love to look at it again!😊

I do wish I could knit like her. And I wished I would have learned more from her before I lost her, but I was not really interested in knitting back then, and my Mom died quite young. But I’m going to give some of those stitches a try and see what I can do.
